'Game of Thrones' and 'American Horror Story' Lead Nominations for 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards

HBO dominates the list of this year's nominations with a whopping 126 nods including 24 for the adaptation of George R.R. Martin's story.

AceShowbiz - Nominees for the upcoming 67th annual Primetime Emmy Awards are announced at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angele. HBO's "Game of Thrones" leads the list with a total of 24 nods and FX's "American Horror Story: Freak Show" follows with 19.

Thanks to the adaptation of George R.R. Martin's story, HBO rules the nominations with 126 nods, becoming the top contender for at least two years in a row following last year's domination with 99. Streaming site Netflix also has multiple nods, a total of 34.

"GOT" is facing Netflix's "House of Cards" and "Orange Is the New Black" for Outstanding Drama Series. Other contenders in the category are AMC's "Better Call Saul" & "Mad Men", PBS' "Downton Abbey", and Showtime's "Homeland".

Meanwhile, HBO's "Silicon Valley" and "Veep" are vying for Outstanding Comedy Series along with FX's "Louie", ABC's "Modern Family", NBC's "Parks And Recreation", Amazon's "Transparent", and Netflix's "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt".

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Andy Samberg will host the event live on FOX on September 20.
