With one week left to go on "" season 19, only the best couples remain in the competition. Tommy Chong, the weakest dancer among the top five, was eliminated in the semifinals on Monday, November 17, leaving Alfonso Robeiro, Bethany Mota, and Sadie Robertson competing for the Mirror Ball trophy next week. "I just showed that old stoners can perform when they need to," the comedian said upon learning of the results.

Earlier that night, Tommy and Peta Murgatroyd danced a jazz to "Tainted Love" and later danced a rumba to a different version of the same song. The judges were all being nice, with Bruno Tonioli saying he enjoyed every minute of it and calling it "great entertainment" after the pair's first dance. The judges gave 28 out of 40 points.

According to the site, Ribeiro skipped rehearsal on Thursday to get an MRI. Doctors reportedly say the next 48 hours are critical and he may not be able to perform on Monday night on the semifinals. An insider says to Us Weekly that producers are "worried he could cause long-term damage to his back."
