Before the final results were announced, the three pairs performed the "24 Hour Challenge" dance. William and Cheryl Burke danced the salsa, Katherine and Mark Ballas performed a jive, while Donald and Peta danced the cha-cha. Each pair earned 30 points from the judges.

Katherine Jenkins on 'DWTS' Injury: It's a Reflectorical Spasm in Lower Back
May 15, 2012 01:05:47Katherine Jenkins has offered an update on her condition after injuring herself on "Dancing with the Stars" stage. "Thank you for all your concerned tweets... I'm with the Doctor, he says it was a reflectorical spasm in my lower back," so she wrote on her Twitter after getting a medical attention.
In the second round of the Monday, May 14 semifinals, Katherine tweaked in her back at the end of her salsa with pro dancer partner Mark Ballas. Looking disappointed at herself, she covered her face with her hands as she had a meltdown, but insisted she's okay and told the judges to go on with their comments.

April 10, 2012 12:04:06Karina Smirnoff has offered some details on what led to Melissa Gilbert being taken to a hospital in the middle of "Dancing with the Stars" April 9 show. Met backstage, the pro dancer told media reps that the 47-year-old actress complained about dizziness and feeling lightheaded after hitting her head on the ballroom floor during her routine.
It was further reported that Melissa was so weakened that fellow contestant Gavin DeGraw had to carry her down from the stage's elevated "red room" and out of the studio. She was put on a stretcher and taken away in an ambulance with her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy following her.
