Fans Start Twitter Campaign to Get Britney Spears on 'Modern Family'
February 02, 2012 03:02:07Britney Spears' fans have recently flooded Twitter with various messages expressing their hope to get the singer on "Modern Family". It all started when the "Oops!... I Did It Again" hitmaker herself declared that she is a fan of the Emmy-winning comedy series.
"I know everybody is excited about the Super Bowl, but I personally can't wait to see the next episode of Modern Family! Funniest show on TV," so she wrote on her own Twitter page. "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara then retweeted the post, before Spears' manager followed it up with a tweet read, "@BritneySpears on Modern Family? What do you guys think?"

January 19, 2012 10:01:14"Modern Family" drew a controversy by inserting a storyline where 2-year-old Lily dropping the F-bomb. While Aubrey Anderson-Emmons who plays the little girl did not actually say the expletive word either during the taping or on the aired scene, the Parents Television Council (PTC) is still not into the idea.
"It's not suitable language for a child that young in the real world, and it's not suitable language for a child that young on television, either," the group stated. Melissa Henson, director of communications and public education for the organization, additionally told FOX411, "It is certainly in poor taste."

Julian will befuddle Cameron and Mitchell with his sexual preference since the couple mistakenly assumes Marini's character as gay. It will later become clear that Julian is straight after the boys invite Claire on a rare "fun night out" and end up leaving her with Julian.

'Modern Family' Season 3 Promo Gets Nostalgic With Portraits From the Past

The cast of the Emmy-winning series have shot the season 3 premiere in Wyoming. "First Class treatment right off the Airplane in Wyoming! Lily already on a horse!" Jesse Tyler Ferguson tweeted on August 15 along with a picture showing his young co-star Aubrey Anderson-Emmons riding on a horse.

'Modern Family', 'Mad Men' Lead Nominations of Critics' Choice TV Awards

Leading the pack is "Modern Family" with six, including the nominations for Best Comedy Series. The category also has "The Big Bang Theory", "Community", "Glee", "The Office", "Parks and Recreation" and "30 Rock" among the nominees.
"Modern Family" additionally has its cast competing for two different awards. Ty Burrell, Ed O'Neill and Eric Stonestreet are fighting to be the Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, while Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara is battling for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Preview: 'Modern Family' Season Finale Has Big Surprises

Phil and Claire, for example, are surprised by their kids who show up on their bedroom with a special treat, but it comes in bad timing. Jay wants nothing more than to have a quiet birthday out fishing on the lake, but the family takes that as him wanting a big celebration.
Meanwhile, in their frantic scramble to put everything together, Claire and Mitchell wind up trapped in the yard of their childhood home. Phil runs into his old college nemesis while at the mall with Gloria and Lily, as Cameron gets himself into some hot water at the bakery, and the kids frantically do some creative editing on grandpa's birthday video. All of which leaves Jay with a headache.

"So I do everything in my power to get him to let me go, and that might include slightly drugging him a little bit, so maybe he falls asleep. And I sneak out. "She reached out and she wanted to do something with the show. But how do you incorporate Lady GaGa into 'Modern Family'?" Ferguson said. Thunderstruck by the possibility, Kelly Ripa who is a fan of the Mother Monster shared her idea of a possible plot for GaGa. "You're dreaming of Lady GaGa!. I'm going to write this for you right now. You're having the Lady GaGa dream again," she said.

The show took home the coveted Comedy Series prize, beating out other nominees like "30 Rock" and "The Office". The ABC series got another kudo for Comedy Directing TV.
Although missing the chance to win Comedy Series award, "30 Rock" still managed to bag two gongs which are Comedy Writing TV and Comedy Actor TV. Alec Baldwin was the one honored with the best actor title, beating out his own co-star Tracy Morgan in addition to Steve Carell of "The Office" among others.

2011 NAACP Image Awards Winners in TV: 'Modern Family' & 'True Jackson'

The extended family has a ritual of doing movie charades party on Oscars night and the guesses are getting ridiculous each year, according to Mitch and Cam.
The gay couple seem to be the only one having an excellent knowledge in movies. Phil, with his honest and naive guesses, said "Pretty Woman", "Babe" and "Milk" when Gloria acts out the movie. Gloria herself has difficulty in guessing Love in "Eat, Pray, Love". When the game was over, Mitch and Cam said, "The whole night was 'Rocky', we almost went 'Psycho', next year we're staying 'Home Alone'."

'Modern Family' Sneak Peek: James Marsden in Hot Tub

James Marsden plays Barry, Cam and Mitch's new neighbor who lives upstairs and stumbles upon the gay couple when he jumps into their hot tub unannounced.
Both Cam and Mitch are smitten by his good looks. And from the look of the episode's stills, Barry will extend his visit to inside their house, giving Mitch a back massage. The synopsis says, "Mitchell and Cameron stumble upon a mysterious neighbor who is quite the charmer."

Matt Dillon Joins 'Modern Family', Brian Austin Green Gets New Pilot
December 18, 2010 11:12:48In a slew of casting news coming out on Friday, December 17, Matt Dillon and Brian Austin Green's names have popped out. The former is heading to "Modern Family" as a guest star while the latter is the star of a new TBS pilot "The Wedding Band".
Dillon would play Julie Bowen's character's ex boyfriend. According to EW, Claire's ex has a new galpal and Claire is probably not going to like her because it's Claire's mom, DeDe Pritchett. This means Shelley Long will reprise her role as DeDe. No other details including air date have been announced.

2011 WGA Awards Nominees in TV Announced

"Modern Family" and "30 Rock", which have won Emmys, will be up against each other in comedy series and have each received two nods for episodic category. Meanwhile, "Breaking Bad" takes a nod in drama field and two additional episodic nominations.

The Wednesday, October 27 episode of "Modern Family" saw Vergara's Gloria fighting with O'Neill's Jay about how Andean nation is full of backward, violent people. So fed up was Gloria that she compared Colombia to Peru in a degrading manner for the latter.
Jay began his argument with, "Now, maybe in Colombia ...," before he was cut by Gloria saying "Ah, here we go. Because, in Colombia, we trip over goats and we kill people in the street. Do you know how offensive that is? Like we're Peruvians!"

Mary Lynn Rajskub Spotted Filming 'Modern Family'
October 14, 2010 11:10:20It has been revealed before that Mitchell of "Modern Family" used to hide his orientation as a teenager and his girlfriend back then would re-appear in his life. Mary Lynn Rajskub who has been hired to portray the gay-radar-less girlfriend made a trip to the set of the show to film her first scenes on Wednesday, October 13.
Rajskub, who was last seen on "24", arrived at The Grove in casual blue shirt and pants along with the show's regular cast members such as Ed O'Neill, Sofia Vergara, twins Ella Hiller and Jaden Hiller, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson who plays Mitchell. The rest of the cast were not present.

'Modern Family' Halloween Episode Sneak Peek
October 05, 2010 02:10:50"Modern Family" take on Halloween won't be a surprise after all. The cast of the Emmy-winning series have given a sneak peek of what kind of costume they would wear for the special episode which is expected to air later this month.
The cast shot the episode on Monday, October 4 and they were allowed to tease fans via Twitter. "So it looks like no one will be surprised when they see the MODERN FAMILY cast's Halloween costumes when the show airs," tweeted the show's script coordinator Clint McCray.
