May 22, 2013 11:05:20Team Shakira and Team Usher were another man down on "The Voice" Tuesday, May 21. The Latina songstress and the R&B singer bid farewell to Kris Thomas and Josiah Hawley respectively in the latest elimination show, leaving them with only one protege each now.
Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, meanwhile, amazingly managed to keep every singer on their teams. The eight remaining contestants will return next week in a live show before they are shrunk down to six.

The R&B diva and the soul singer will reclaim their coaching gigs, rejoining Adam Levine and Blake Shelton who are also confirmed to return for the fifth edition of the singing competition show.
"We locked in a plan several months ago to have the outstanding Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green rejoin Blake and Adam for cycle 5, and we're pleased to announce that the original four coaches are going to be back together in the fall," says Paul Telegdy, President of Alternative and Late Night Programming. "They're the reason this show was launched so strong for the first three cycles and we owe them a debt of gratitude."

Report: Shakira and Usher Are Locked for 'The Voice' Season 6
May 17, 2013 10:05:20Shakira and Usher may be leaving "The Voice" after this season, but not for good. Entertainment Weekly has learned that NBC is finalizing deals with the latin songstress and the R&B singer to have them returning to the show for the sixth season, which will air next spring.
For the upcoming fifth season which will premiere in the fall, meanwhile, "The Voice" will reportedly bring back all original coaches: Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Cee-Lo Green and Christina Aguilera. Adam and Blake are expected to return for the spring cycle as well.

Carson Daly Confirms Christina Aguilera's Return to 'The Voice'

It's the show's own host Carson Daly who confirms report that the R&B diva will be back as a coach in the upcoming edition of the competition series.
"We're all excited," Daly tells E! News about Aguilera's return. "She helped launch the show, and like we've said with all of our coaches, this isn't their day jobs. They're not celebrity judges, they are real artists and they have to tour and it's great to have her come back into the fold."

Shakira Confirms She's Not Returning to 'The Voice' Season 5
May 15, 2013 03:05:14Following rumors that Shakira will exit "The Voice" after only one season, the Colombian singer has confirmed that she's indeed leaving the show after the end of this season. Asked by Access Hollywood if she would return for the show's fifth installment, she said after the Tuesday elimination show, "Not for next season, for sure."
"I have to get back to my baby - give him some love and dedicate some time to him and also to my new album that I'm working on," she shared what she planned on doing during her time off from the reality singing competition series. The "Hips Don't Lie" songstress, however, didn't rule out the possibility of her returning to the NBC show in the future, saying, "You never know, maybe in the future."

Cee-Lo Green Returns to 'The Voice' as Advisor for Top 10 Performance Show

Amidst rumors that he's in "advanced negotiations" to return as a coach in season 5, the "F**k You" hitmaker is slated to be an advisor for Team Shakira ahead of the Top 10 performance show next week.
Cee-Lo is tapped to replace this season's advisor Joel Madden, who has a scheduling conflict. Sheryl Crow, Hillary Scott and Pharrell Williams, meanwhile, will return to advise Team Blake Shelton, Team Adam Levine and Team Usher respectively.

Deadline and The Wrap report that the former Mouseketeer is set to return in the fifth season of the reality singing competition series, with the latter learning from an NBC executive that she'll be paid $12.5 million for the season.
Another insider claims Xtina could make as much as $17 million, the same amount she allegedly earned when she was a coach in season 3, depending on the number of hours she appears on the show.
