The first trailer for the upcoming fifth season of "" is unleashed. It gives a sneak peek at what to expect from the new outing including a glimpse at what appears to be a secret hookup. "I feel a shaking of the ground I stand on," one character says.

Season 5 will premiere January 4, 2015. The show is expected to explore Mary's search for a new love following the death of her husband Matthew. "Everyone wants Mary to be happy and for her to marry again, but nobody would want that to happen too quickly because they want to respect the memory of Matthew," executive producer Gareth Neame once said. "It's about timing all those things correctly."

They are twins Oliver Barker and Zac Barker, who will play Master George Crawley, as well as Fifi Hart, who will portray Miss Sybbie Branson. George is the son of Lady Mary and the late Matthew Crawley, while Sybbie is the daughter of Tom Branson and his late wife Lady Sybil. Both of these children were still babies when viewers last saw them in season 4.

PBS has announced that it will harbor the fifth season of British drama "" starting January 4 next year at 9 P.M. ET/PT. The popular series will commence on U.K.'s ITV later this year, meaning once again the show's American fans may stumble upon the spoilers online first.

During the TV press tour in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, July 22, PBS President and Chief Executive Paula Kerger defended their choice of airing "Downton" months after it aired in the U.K. "January works well," Kerger said, reasoning that people have more time to watch TV because the weather has turned colder. She pointed out a 16 percent increase of audience in the most recent season as proof of the strategy's success.

Details and pictures from "" Christmas special have been unveiled. ITV has announced that the two-hour episode is set six months after the end of season four and features scenes taking place at Buckingham Palace, where a scandal threatens to engulf the British monarchy.

In the special, Lady Rose is presented to the King as part of her "coming out." The family decides to relocate to their London residence for the occasion. Cora's mother and brother arrive from America, while Robert will be forced to act to protect both the royal family and his own.

When tweeted that he's joining the cast of "", he actually meant a parody version of the British series. After creating a buzz with his statement which has been debunked by PBS, the rapper's spoof of the hit series makes its way out via Funny or Die.

In the video, the New York-born artist claims he's cast as the first black character on the Julian Fellowes-created series. He introduces himself as Lord Wolcott, the new owner of Downton Abbey. He somehow manages to get inserted into scenes featuring other real characters.
