Maya Rudolph May Impersonate Whitney Houston When Hosting 'SNL'
February 15, 2012 08:02:41"Saturday Night Live" may once again pay homage to Whitney Houston in an upcoming episode. It has been reported that the show is considering to include a skit which will feature host Maya Rudolph impersonating the late singer in this week's edition.
NBC, however, has not confirmed nor denied the report first brought into attention by TVLine. "As you know, the show never comments on potential show content," a representative for the network said. "As Maya impersonated Whitney, it's a natural question, but one [to which] we do not have an answer."

The "500 Days of Summer" actress later showed her dancing skill in a sketch titled "Les Jeunes de Paris" that parodies "The Artist". Helping her to spoof the Golden Globes-winning movie was none other than the film's lead actor, Jean Dujardin.

Maya Rudolph Booked for 'Saturday Night Live' Hosting Debut
February 09, 2012 01:02:29Former "Saturday Night Live" regular Maya Rudolph is set to return to Studio 8H, to make her debut as a host on the show. The comedienne, who is currently starring on NBC's "Up All Night", is going to lead a February 18 installment with Sleigh Bells as a musical guest.
Since retiring from "SNL" in 2007, Rudolph has maintained a semi-regular appearance on the variety show. The Verona de Tessant of "Away We Go" was recently featured in a Steve Buscemi-hosted episode which aired in December, portraying Whitney Houston in a sketch.

Televangelist Blasts 'SNL' for Mocking Devout Christian Tim Tebow

Televangelist Pat Robertson slammed the show for featuring a skit that mocks Tim Tebow, an open and devout Christian who is famous for bending on his knee to pray during a game.
Calling it an "anti-Christian bigotry," Robertson said on the Christian Broadcasting Network, "If this had been a Muslim country and they had done that, and had Muhammad doing that stuff, you would have found bombs being thrown off!"

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, the latest "SNL" episode averaged a 3.0 rating in adults 18-49, making it the No.1 telecast of the night.

When Armisen plays a guitar and sings "Jingle Bells", Fallon interrupts him and tries to show the right tune. However, he also twists the melody halfway through the song.
