'Homeland', 'Girls', 'American Horror Story' Among TV Nominees at 2013 DGA Awards
January 10, 2013 10:01:12A day after announcing its movie nominations, the Directors Guild of America unveils its TV nominees. Coming as no surprise, "Homeland" scores two nods in Dramatic Series for the episodes directed by Michael Cuesta and Lesli Linka Glatter, facing off "Mad Men", "Breaking Bad" and "The Newsroom".
"Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston earns his first DGA nom this year, but not through the AMC series. Instead, he will be competing against Lena Dunham ("Girls") and Louis C.K. ("Louie") for the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Comedy Series prize through his "Modern Family" directorial stint. Also vying for the same title are Mark Cendrowski ("The Big Bang Theory") and Beth McCarthy-Miller ("30 Rock").

Answering some burning questions, showrunner Alex Gansa and executive producer Howard Gordon talk to reporters about their ideas for the upcoming season 3.
Following Carrie's risky choice to help Brody run away, she won't get away with it easily. Gansa says, "I don't think Saul is going to be ignorant [of Carrie helping Brody in the finale] and I think Carrie has some explaining to do."

'Homeland' and 'Mad Men' Among AFI's Top Ten TV Shows of 2012

While the above-mentioned titles are no strangers to the honor, "American Horror Story: Asylum" and "Girls" make it into the list for the first time. "Modern Family" is the only broadcast-network show that joins the pack this year, which also includes HBO's TV movie "Game Change".

Lebanon Considers to Sue 'Homeland'
October 19, 2012 04:10:53Lebanon government is considering to take a legal action against "Homeland" after the country's capital Beirut was portrayed as a city swarmed with terrorists. Upset with the "serious misrepresentation," Lebanon's minister of tourism Fady Abboud said, "We are following the case legally."
"I raised this at the cabinet meeting and the president asked the minister for justice and the minister of communications to see what can be done," he added. "I am calling on all young Lebanese adults to do what they need to do; to write blogs, to call the BBC and CNN to try to raise awareness that Beirut is not a city of Kalashnikov and war."

New Teaser of 'Homeland' Season 2: Brody's Campaign

It shows Brody standing on a podium as he enters politics in the second installment of the thriller series. Announced on Saturday, July 28 night, the winners list saw the Showtime series taking home Outstanding New Program and Individual Achievement in Drama for Claire Danes.
The awards were given out at the Beverly Hilton ballroom but the event was not televised and was off the record. Bryan Cranston hosted the awards. His show, "Breaking Bad", won Outstanding Achievement in Drama, while FX's "Louie" won the comedy award. The Program of the Year went to HBO's "Game of Thrones".

The October 2 premiere itself drew 1.1 million viewers, marking Showtime's most watched drama premiere in eight years since "Dead Like Me". More impressively, the audience number keeps increasing with its most recent episode hitting a series high. The show now becomes the highest-rated new series ever for the network.
