'Glee' Dominates 14th Satellite Awards TV Noms
November 30, 2009 02:11:16"Glee" is shining in the nomination list released by Satellite Awards for its 14th year. The new musical by FOX makes the entry in every TV category possible through the show itself as well as the actors. The nominees were selected through voting by International Press Academy's members which included more than 100 entertainment journalists.
Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer, Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison represent the show for the categories of Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor, Lead Actress and Lead Actor in Comedy or Musical respectively. The show itself is being put under Television Series, Comedy or Musical.
Neil Patrick Harris' Opening Number and Dance Tribute at Emmys
September 21, 2009 11:09:20The ceremony of 61st Primetime Emmy Awards has just ended but some notable moments from the live event were captured. Neil Patrick Harris opening number and a dance sequence by several dancers from shows such as "Dancing with the Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance" were among the highlighted moments apart from the winners revelation.
Harris, wearing white Tuxedo, worked the stage with a Broadway number of "Put Down That Remote". His performance included a shout out to Tina Fey who won as the impersonation of Sarah Palin, Tony Shalhoub whose name rhymes with tuba, and Shirley MacLaine as well as Drew Barrymore who "everyday look luscious and cool".

September 15, 2009 10:09:58The first batch of celebrities lending their hands as presenters at this year's Primetime Emmy Awards has been announced. The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences opts to go big this year by tapping huge names such as Jon Hamm and Tina Fey. Both stars are nominated at the event with the latter having won Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series at Creative Arts Emmys.
The others on the list include those from "Gossip Girl", "True Blood" and "Grey's Anatomy". Blake Lively and her co-star Leighton Meester will read a category, either together or separately. There are also "Vampire Bill" Stephen Moyer, "Dr. Bailey" Chandra Wilson and "Jack Bauer" Kiefer Sutherland.

August 05, 2009 09:08:47With the premiere date coming around the corner, "Mad Men" was thrown a celebration on the red carpet this Monday, August 3. The event that was held at Los Angeles' Directors Guild of America Theater saw most of the primary and secondary cast coming in support of the show.
Jon Hamm became the center of the attention with him stopping for photo sessions and red carpet interviews. Asked by Los Angeles Times what becomes his character in the third season, the actor replied, "I'm in a lot of the scenes but I think everyone works very hard on the show. I don't know about us (he and January Jones, who plays his wife) working harder than anyone else. We're just there a lot."

January 27, 2009 01:01:23Recent Screen Actors Guild Awards winners, Tina Fey and Jon Hamm have joined forces to appear in the upcoming episode of "30 Rock". A sneak peek of Hamm's role as Dr. Drew Baird has been given, through a clip where Liz goes to his place to deliver a mail.
The episode will be called "Generalissimo", a term which is a reference to a character in a Mexican telenovela that Elisa's grandmother watches. Jack wonders why his new lover's grandma doesn't like him and finds out that he bears a resemblance to the telenovela's villain. This is sneak peeked in the other clip.
Star-Studded New York City Premiere of 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'
December 10, 2008 01:12:26Three days before "The Day the Earth Stood Still" crashes into U.S. theaters, a New York premiere for the classic sci-fi remake has been held by the 20th Century Fox. Using AMC Loews Lincoln Square, New York as the place the special screening took place on Tuesday, December 9, the premiere saw many Hollywood stars walking down the red carpet.
Those attending the events included the film's cast ensemble, Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Connelly, Jaden Smith, Jon Hamm and Kathy Bates, as well as director Scott Derrickson. They were joined by celebrity guests from Jaden's parents, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, to WWE star-turned-actor John Cena and television actress Jennifer Westfeldt.
TV Drama "Longford" Scored Three Golden Globes
January 14, 2008 10:01:57Winners of the 65th annual Golden Globes were announced Sunday, January 13 hot on the heels of the on-going writers strike. There was no awards ceremony like usual, only a news conference held by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in Beverly Hills, California.
The biggest winner in TV category was "Longford." The 2006 drama television film, aired on Channel 4, walked away with three awards; Best Mini-Series Or Motion Picture Made for Television, Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for Jim Broadbent, and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for Samantha Morton.
Stars Being Signed for New Thriller Boy in the Box
December 18, 2007 03:12:10Rounding out acting talents to fill in the cast of their new thriller "The Boy in the Box", A2 Entertainment Group and Code Entertainment have picked up Hollywood names like Rhona Mitra, Josh Lucas, and James Van Der Beek to lead the lineup, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Joined the threesome are Jon Hamm, Jimmy Bennett, Jessica Chastain, and Marcus Thomas, the latest most recently appeared in John Dahl's comedy "You Kill Me." All have been confirmed to come under the direction of first-time helmer Anders Anderson.
