The Top 12 of "" season 6 have been wilted down to mere 10. Married ballroom dancer couple Ashleigh Di Lello and Ryan Di Lello are through to the next round but Karen Hauer and Victor Smalley have to stop their journey on the show.

During the deliberation, Karen and Victor were joined in the bottom three by Mollee and Nathan; and Ellenore and Ryan. All six of them had to dance for their lives if they wanted to stay in the competition. Karen was criticized for looking like she has surrendered and thus was the first to be eliminated. On the other hand, Victor delivered an energetic piece but it was not enough to convince the judges to keep him.

One Contestant Quits 'SYTYCD' Top 20

There has been a shuffle in the Top 20 line-up of "". Billy Bell, the contemporary dancer who advanced to the next round last week is not allowed to move on with the competition because of his illness. FOX, which announced Bell's departure, declined to reveal the health problem.

"We are disappointed that Billy cannot continue dancing in the competition on the advice of his doctor and wish him a speedy recovery," executive producer/judge Nigel Lythgoe was quoted as saying. Bell will be replaced by hip-hop dancer Brandon Dumlao immediately on Tuesday, October 27. "However, we are fortunate that Brandon Dumlao has agreed to return," Lythgoe added.

Viewers wondering how the Top 20 of "" look like need no guessing anymore. FOX has released the promotional shots of the 20 people who will begin competing with each other, together and separated by sex.

Just like in previous years, the 10 men and 10 women will be paired on the first day of their live performance. The judges for the October 27 episode would be Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, and Adam Shankman, the latest who has just been promoted to be a regular. Meanwhile, Mia Michaels who still had a say in the Las Vegas weeks, has stepped down from her position to pursue other projects.

"" has found its sixth season's Top 20. The Las Vegas weeks are over, judges including Mia Michaels who will soon quit the show to pursue other projects, were doing lots of rejections and happy announcements to the 32 dancers who made it to the Las Vegas callback.

The Top 10 girls consist of six dancers moving in the contemporary genre. They are Ariana Debose, Channing Cooke, Pauline Mata, Katherine McCormick, Noelle Marsh and Ellenore Scott who are all 18 years old except for Scott who is 19. "Actually, I came in last season as a contemporary dancer, which was a bad idea because I didn't train in contemporary for a long time," Mata confessed.

Official, Mia Michaels Exits 'So You Think You Can Dance'

After five years of judging "", Mia Michaels feels that it is time for her to move on. She officially confirmed her departure from the FOX show, writing on her Facebook on Wednesday, October 14, "Today was my official resignation of the U.S. show and look forward to what's ahead for me."

There is still no mention on why the Emmy-winning choreographer walks out of the show. She only hinted on her Twitter that there is a new project lying ahead. She wrote, "To create moments and movement for the world to share with me was a gift...thanks SYTYCD and look forward to whats ahead for me...lookout world!!!!!"

FOX Defends 'So You Think You Can Dance' Crotch Flash

FOX and the execs of "" received the accusation of missing one tiny part which is potentially harmful for young audience during their editing. Things went big after Perez Hilton posted a video of a contestant flashing her private part on national television.

FOX has since come out with a statement in defense. "The footage in last night's So You Think You Can Dance was reviewed thoroughly by the network's Broadcast Standards & Practices prior to air and it was separately confirmed with the dancer that she was wearing flesh-toned dance gear," the statement to TV Guide was read.

Jeanine Mason became the second female dancer to win the title of "America's Favorite Dancer" on "". She beat another favorite, Brandon Bryant, who consequently became the runner up of season 5. Evan Kasprzak finished third while Kayla Radomski took the last spot.

After the top ten of "" season 5 delivered impressive performances Wednesday, America dropped the axe on two least favorite dancers Thursday, July 16. The elimination show was kicked off with the top ten performing Wade and Amanda Robson-choreographed routine to 's "So Much Betta".

Before a preview of what happened on performance night, host came on stage to announce that the show grabbed 4 Emmy Awards' nominations for Choreography. Then, results for the top five girls were read. Janette who was the first to be called, was safe, but Randi became the first one to get in the bottom two. Jeanine was next and she's also safe, leaving Kayla and Melissa. Melissa joined Randi in the unsafe group.

As the competition gets down to the final 10 of "" season 5, new rules are set, placing the judges out of the decision-making and giving America a chance to vote for individuals. Though the dancers now have to fight for American votes individually, they will still perform in couples, but there's a twist: each week they will get different partner. For this week, Kayla was paired with Evan, Ade with Janette, Jeanine with Jason, Kupono and Randi, and Brandon with Melissa.

Before all of the couples took the stage, the top five girls opened the show by performing a Bollywood routine choreographed by Nakul Dev Mahajan. Working as a group instead of trying to outshine one another, the girls stayed with the music the whole time and earned praises from judges. Nigel thought the group's performance was fantastic and said they were "five of the most beautiful girls working together", and Mary dubbed it "young, hip and fresh".

Although confirmation has not come out from ' side, the news about the actress coming to "" is ripening. Details are released, Katie is set to pay a homage to Judy Garland during the stint and she has done a rehearsal on Monday, June 15 at FOX Studios.

An insider present at the rehearsal told US Magazine that she will sing "Get Happy" which is a piece that Garland performed in her 1950 musical film "Summer Stock". In doing the role, Katie wears an all-black outfit similar to what Garland wore, complete with the black fedora and leather heels. Eight male dancers with suits and ties are behind her. The setting meanwhile, is built with scaffolding that gives the idea of her dancing on a rooftop with the sky being the backdrop.

FOX has released the official music video for the Top 20 of "". Using plain white background, the video combines different styles such as jazz, hip-hop, contemporary and ballet.

On Thursday, June 11, the dancing show has sent home the first two contestants and kept 18 people in competition. Paris and Tony were coupled on the Top 20 round, crafting a Hip-Hop piece for ' "Let the Beat Rock". While Tony is originally a Hip-Hoper, Paris is leaning more into contemporary style. From 32 hopefuls, 12 were trimmed off to reveal the Top 20 of "" season 5. The panel of judges, Adam Shankman, Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, Debbie Allen, Mia Michaels and Lil C dropped the good news during the Las Vegas callbacks on Thursday, June 4 to 20 people who will advance to the next round.

The Top 20 consists of 10 women and 10 men. Starting next week (Wednesday, June 10), they will be split into pairs and compete weekly. Then the audience will have the power to determine which pairs stay and who should pack their bags until, 10 dancers remain. They will be judged individually when the competition reaches the Top 10.
