'So You Think You Can Dance' Crowns Season 10 Winners, Gets Season 11 Order

Every dance on "" season 10 has come to this, which was the coronation of the winners on the Tuesday, September 10 finale. But before the big announcement was made, the top four, Aaron Turner, Amy Yakima, Jasmine Harper and Fik-Shun, were joined by the rest of the top twenty for a group dance choreopgrahped by season 2 finalist Ivan Koumaev.

Permanent judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy as well as guest judges and Adam Shankman then revealed their favorite dances of the season, with the contestants reprising the routines. In between the dances, Lythgoe broke the news that "SYTYCD" had been renewed for an elevent season. "Fox [has] commissioned Season 11!" he declared.

Through a series of auditions, "" has finally got its Top 20 of season 10. Unveiled in the latest episode which had Adam Shankman joining resident judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy, the list includes a good mix of contemporary, tap, hip-hop, animation and ballroom dancers.

Emilio Dosal was originally selected in the Top 20, but he later withdrew from the competition due to an injury. He's replaced by Aaron Turner, who was No. 11 on the men's list. Aaron, a tap dancer, had joined the show last year and was cut before the Top 20.

After two months of dancing on "" stage, two of the contestants came home as champions. They were Eliana Girard and Chehon Wespi-Tschopp who were unveiled as America's favorite female and male dancer respectively in the season 9 finale, marking the first time ever ballet dancer(s) won the show.

Eliana and Chehon, who both landed on the bottom six once but were saved by the judges, edged out Tiffany Maher and Cyrus "Glitch" Spencer who were also in the final four. The jazz dancer and the popping/animating dancer had a clean record as they were never in danger of getting eliminated.

Before viewers' votes were revealed, all remaining dancers had to perform routines choreographed by Mia Michaels which had been performed in previous seasons. The challenge was to set themselves apart from the original performers.

Among those earning rave reviews from the judges were Tiffany Maher and George Lawrence Jr. who performed the Hometown Glory Routine from season 4, Chehon Wespi-Tschopp and Witney Carson who danced the Bench Routine from season 2, as well as Lindsay Arnold and Cole Horibe who teamed up for the Addiction Routine from season 5.

The New Year brings a new change for "". Nigel Lythgoe, the executive producer and judge for the dance competition show, has just revealed that fans will have to wait a week before finding out who's been cut off from the competition in the new season since FOX axed the results show.

"#FOX have cancelled the results show so I will have to change the format of #SYTYCD," the 62-year-old broke the news through his Twitter account on Sunday, January 1. Remaining positive, he noted that the axing doesn't mean the end to the competition show as writing in the same tweet, "At least we have another season at the end of MAY."

Audition Dates of 'So You Think You Can Dance' Season 9

Dancers may want to take note of the messages recently tweeted by Nigel Lythgoe. The "" judge, who also created the show along with Simon Fuller, has just announced the audition dates and cities for the ninth season of the FOX dancing competition.

The auditions will be kicked off on January 5, 2012 at Fox Theater in Atlanta. The show's crew will later visit several cities including Dallas, New York and Salt Lake City until the auditions end in Los Angeles on March 2.
