Lena Headey, From 'Terminator' to 'Game of Thrones'
September 02, 2009 02:09:24Lena Headey has locked a new destination in her TV career. The Sarah Connor of FOX's recently-canceled "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" moves on to an HBO pilot called "Game of Thrones" which is adapted from George R.R. Martin's book series of the same name. It is a fantasy chronicling the battle among seven kings and two ruling families for control of the Iron Throne.
Headey will be Queen Cersei of House Lennister. A wife of King Robert, Cersei is "every bit as smart, cunning and devious as the powerful men around her." She is the sister of twin brother Jamie Lannister whom she is having an incestuous relationship with in the book. The show, however, will follow largely Ned Stark who leaves his home to serve the king.
