CBS Renews 'Good Wife' and 14 Other Shows, 'Two and a Half Men' Is Still Undecided
March 15, 2012 02:03:13CBS has been preparing for 2012-2013 season by renewing 15 series. The network announced that it has ordered a new season for 9 dramas, which are "The Good Wife", "The Mentalist", "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service", "NCIS: Los Angeles", "Hawaii Five-0", "Blue Bloods", "Criminal Minds", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" as well as rookie "Person of Interest".
Two comedies included in the pick-up list are "Mike & Molly" and freshman "2 Broke Girls". Also getting a renewal are reality series "The Amazing Race" and "Undercover Boss", as well as news magazines "60 Minutes" and "48 Hours Mystery".

Matthew Perry to Play Lawyer on 'The Good Wife'
February 18, 2012 02:02:25Matthew Perry will return to TV screens for the first time since comedy series "Mr. Sunshine" that he fronted was canceled by ABC last year. The former "Friends" star has been cast for a recurring role on CBS' legal drama "The Good Wife".
Playing Mike, Perry will portray an "extremely charming Chicago attorney tasked with heading up a blue-ribbon panel that's investigating a suspicious police shooting". When Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is assigned to be on the panel, she begins to question the actions he is taking as the chairman.

'The Good Wife' 3.13 Preview: Defending Another Lawyer
January 09, 2012 04:01:55Jason Biggs turns to "The Good Wife" for help in an upcoming episode of the legal series. The "American Pie" actor guest stars as a lawyer who is willing to pay a lot to keep him away from jail after the government arrests him for not revealing the name of an anonymous client; a mysterious computer programmer who illegally invented a new online currency.
In addition to Biggs, the said outing will feature Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni, and Bob Balaban as Treasury Department representative Gordon Higgs. Titled "Bitcoin for Dummies", it will air Sunday, January 15 at 9/8c on CBS.

Rita Wilson Confirms Her Return as Viola Walsh on 'The Good Wife'
December 26, 2011 03:12:12Rita Wilson will be making a return to "The Good Wife". On Christmas Day, the wife of actor Tom Hanks revealed on Twitter that she will reprise her role as Viola Walsh on the series. "FYI for 'The Good Wife' fans...I will be coming back this season as Viola Walsh," so she wrote. "The B***h is Back!"
Wilson has appeared twice on the CBS legal drama during its second season. In her last appearance as Viola on the "Great Firewall" episode, she ended her friendship with Diane Lockhart and offered Alicia Florrick a job at her firm. It is still unclear whether Viola will return to the third season to check up on her offer to Alicia.

The 44-year-old beauty has just tweeted her first picture on the New York set of the CBS drama, showing how she and Josh Charles have fun working together.
"I have to say, [Josh] really makes the workplace a nice place to be," Edelstein wrote in the caption of the image which sees Charles playfully terrifying her. Charles then tweeted another photo, which features him and his new co-star holding their own fist, with the caption, "I forgot how much I enjoyed working with Lisa."

The Chicago Bulls player was due to shoot a guest appearance in the series, which stars Julianna Margulies and Chris Noth, on Tuesday, November 2 but allegedly didn't show up.
Producers had booked the sportsman on a flight from Chicago, Illinois to New York City, where the show is filmed, and sent a car to pick him up from his home, but Rose never made it to the airport, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
