Wife Unhappy With David Letterman's Public Apology
October 09, 2009 11:10:46David Letterman may have made his public apology to Regina Lasko on Monday, October 5 during his "Late Show with David Letterman" monologue but the wife is still unhappy. The host was in fact delivering his apology the way he knew it best, through jokes. Lasko reportedly is doubting his sincerity.
Letterman surprisingly admitted last Thursday that he had an affair with a female staff of the show. On Monday, he told his audience that his wife was "hurt" by his behavior but he was ready to repair the marriage which is 6 months old. "Let me tell you folks, I got my work cut out for me," he said.

David Letterman Apologizes to Wife During Monologue
October 06, 2009 09:10:41David Letterman is not done addressing his affair with a staff member that eventually led to an extortion plan. During his "Late Show with David Letterman" monologue for the Monday, October 5 episode, he once again talked about the sensitive issue, revealing that his wife Regina is "horribly hurt" by the story and that he has apologized to her.
CBS in fact released a preview for the episode but decided to exclude the part where he delivered his apology to Regina. "When something happens like that, if you hurt a person and it's your responsibility, you try to fix it," Letterman said on the cut segment. "And at that point, there's only two things that can happen: either you're going to make some progress and get it fixed, or you're going to fall short and perhaps not get it fixed."

President Obama to Visit 'Late Show with David Letterman'

"President Obama's appearance will mark the first by a sitting U.S. President on the 'Late Show' and his first visit back to the show since his election," CBS said in the press release. Obama has appeared on the show five times before taking the office with the latest being September 10, 2008 when he was at the height of Presidential election campaign.

The actress who portrays the terminally-ill Izzie on the ABC series spilled that the cast were back filming on July 15 and they must endure long working hours.
"Our first day back was Wednesday, and I keep saying because I hope it embarrasses them - a 17-hour day," Heigl told Letterman. "I think it's cruel and mean." She then continued describing how the first day of work was with her best friend T.R. Knight no longer there. "It was kind of great to be back. All my friends are there and at this point, they're sort of like family, but it was a little weird because T is not there anymore," she said.

"30 Rock" star Tina Fey that bears a resemblance to the vice president candidate has famously impersonated Palin in a number of "SNL" episodes, making fun of Palin's weakness on domestic policies. There had been rumors swirling that Palin was planning a revenge and will appear on an episode before the election day on November 4.

The talk host said that he has some messages from Palin for America and then he aired some edited footages of Palin talking. The parodies make Palin appearing to have said "But I will tell Americans straight up that I don't know what a Vice President does" and also "I have no experience. John McCain should get rid of me."
