In a brand new trailer of "Shrink" outed via Apple, Henry Carter portrayed by Academy Award-winning Kevin Spacey is introduced as the sought-after Hollywood psychiatrist, whose clients include a once-famous actress, an insecure young writer and a comically obsessive-compulsive superagent.
But, having a list of A-list clients doesn't mean that he is in a good place. Unable to cope with a recent personal tragedy, he turns into a pothead with no concern for his appearance. As a sense of inability to help his patients creeps into his mind, he is asked to take on his first pro-bono case. Now, he has to deal with the real-life troubles of a troubled teenage girl who loves the world of movies he has become so jaded by.

December 01, 2008 02:12:35Two HBO productions are dominating the nominees list of 13th Annual Satellite Awards which prize-giving ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 14 at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City. "John Adams", a mini-series starring Paul Giamatti, has four chances to take home an award, and so does made-for-TV movie "Recount".
Apart from Giamatti who earns a nomination for Actor in a Miniseries or a Motion Picture Made for Television, his co-star Laura Linney is also taking the similar nod, only for the Actress part. The movie itself is put under Miniseries category while its other actress Sarah Polley is contending for Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television.
Lex Luthor Still Superman's Foe in 'Superman: The Man of Steel'
October 04, 2008 10:10:28The next "Superman" movie, "Superman: The Man of Steel", apparently will see once again Lex Luthor, the famed Superman villain which has appeared in most of the live-action films. Within an article from The Independent focusing on the interview with Kevin Spacey, it is revealed that the "Superman Returns" actor will reprise his role as the baddie in the reboot movie.
Part of the article read, "...the producers of the follow-up to Superman Returns...will be paying him big bucks to reprise his role as Lex Luthor next year." Mentioning that Spacey will return as Luthor next year in "Man of Steel", the article also ignites speculation that the production of the new "Superman" film may start sometime in 2009. Nevertheless, Warner Bros. Pictures have yet to let out confirmation or denial regarding both reports.
HBO's 'John Adams' Nabs a Leading 23 Emmy Nominations

The 60th annual awards event, which is set to be aired live on ABC from NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE, Los Angeles on September 21 later this year, witnessed HBO's miniseries "John Adams" nabbed a leading 23 nominations, namely Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie for its star Paul Giamatti and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie for Laura Linney just to name a few.

According to Monsters and Critics, the 48-year-old actor has been looking forward to the chance of him playing the bald villain in the upcoming superhero flick.
Talking to the site, the "American Beauty" star revealed that he has actually been tapped to play the character, but the decision depends on the filmmakers. "I believe they are in talks at the moment. I have actually already signed up to do it," explained the actor. "So if they decide to go ahead with it and they still want me, then I will definitely be in it."

According to reports, the Vanity Vair's article about "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" has given out hints that Will Smith, Taye Diggs, Adam Arkin, Kevin Spacey and Philip Seymour Hoffman could be attached to the new project.
In the article posted on VanityFair.com, Jim Windolf, the writer, wrote down, "My glance strays to a side table, where headshots of actors under consideration for his likely next directing project, Chicago 7 - about the conspiracy trial that grew out of protests at the 1968 Democratic convention - lie on the surface. A political drama, "Recount" will focus its story on the ordinary people caught up in the extraordinary events surrounding the fateful vote. It begins with the November 7th elections, follows the slew of controversial court challenges and recounts and culminates with the December 12th Supreme Court ruling that effectively handed George W. Bush the presidency.

It is said that the actor hopes to shoot his scenes on a six-week block next year following the completion of his run in David Mamet's play "Speed the Plow" in April.

"I don't care about my personal acting career any more. I'm done with it," Kevin said. "After 10 years of making movies and going better than I ever could have imagined, I sort of had to ask myself: 'What am I supposed to do with all of this success that I have had?' Am I just going to keep making movie after movie and be concerned with all of that 'Are you up, are you down, are you hot, are you not?', and I don't really care."

The game adapted from the highly anticipated "Superman Returns" is completed and will soon hit the stores. The game, tentatively titled "Superman Returns: The Videogame", will be released on June 26, just four days before the movie hit worldwide theaters.
