Gabourey Sidibe Added to 'American Horror Story: Coven'
April 30, 2013 12:04:46Ryan Murphy has recruited another great talent for "American Horror Story: Coven". Gabourey Sidibe, who was nominated for Best Actress at the 82nd Academy Awards for her role in 2009's "Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire", is confirmed to star in the upcoming third season of the FX series.
"Thrilled to announce Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe is joining the cast of 'American Horror Story: Coven'," series creator Murphy announced the casting via his Twitter. There's still no word on the role she will play on the Emmy-nominated show.

'American Horror Story' Season 3 Will Feature Witches and Film in New Orleans
March 18, 2013 09:03:20Ryan Murphy announced the subtitle for the third season of "American Horror Story" at PaleyFest on Friday night, March 15. The new installment of the anthology series will be called "American Horror Story: Coven", confirming speculations that the storyline will include witches.
"It's a really cool story we've been talking about for a couple of years. So we're going to do that," Murphy gushed. He added that the filming would take place in several "cool" locations, including New Orleans, sharing, "The fun thing is researching what are the really haunted places in America, and we have a couple doozy locales."

'American Horror Story' Close to Get Kathy Bates for Season 3
February 27, 2013 01:02:40"American Horror Story" will pit Jessica Lange against Kathy Bates. Academy Award-winning actress Bates, who had a regular role as Harriet Korn on "Harry's Law", is close to seal a deal to join the third season of the FX horror series.
According to TVLine, Bates will play the best friend of Lange's character, who turns into her enemy. Lange's character herself was described as a "glamor cat leading lady" by show creator Ryan Murphy.
