Nucky's empire ended as "" closed the curtain for good on Sunday, October 26. The series finale gave a closure to most story arcs, including revealing the gloomy fates of some main characters.

As several teasers for the final season hinted, [SPOILER ALERT!] Nucky did lose his business. He agreed to give up his Atlantic City empire to rival Charlie Luciano in order to save his nephew Willie. It appeared that the show would end in a good note for Nucky as he made $2 million from manipulating the stock market with his former wife Margaret, until a teenaged Tommy Darmody (Jimmy's son) confronted him and shot him in the face.

Expect for a big gun-totting sequence in the next episode "" as Nucky is filled with rage. A preview for the said outing teases a possible showdown between Nucky and his nemesis Lucky as well as Lucky's allies.

Still in the same episode, pained by a recent loss, Nucky turns to the bottle, and the company of a pair of barflies. In 1897, young Nucky vents his frustration to Mabel (Maya Kazan) after endorsing Jim Neary (Scott Francis Moreau), and roots out a young thief with Eli's (Ryan Dinning) help.

Nucky isn't giving up yet. Now that liquor is deemed illegal, the corrupt politician will seemingly try his hand at another business. In a preview for the next episode of "", Nucky is having a discussion with someone who can rig a game to take advantage in gamble.

Meanwhile, Lucky continues to try taking over power in crime world by telling Dr. Narcisse that Manzarano wants to do business with him and offers him protection. Dr. Narcisse appears to be not interested in the business proposition, reminding the two young men that they are in Harlem.


First Trailer for 'Boardwalk Empire' Final Season: Changes Coming

HBO has finally debuted the first trailer for "" season 5 following some teasers. The video, set to ' "Tranquilize", shows that changes are coming as the show jumps ahead to 1931, during the Great Depression.

It appears that Lucky Luciano proposes a new way of doing their business. Nucky makes a death threat to someone over the phone, saying, "I will not rest until I see you in your graves." A shot of young Nucky is also featured, while Nelson Van Alden is seen in "Most Wanted" flyer and being held at gunpoint.


New Teaser for 'Boardwalk Empire' Final Season: 'Jesus Was Wrong'

HBO has released a new promo for "" season 5 to tease fans of the show. While it still doesn't reveal the plotline, the video does share more scenes, including the one which sees Chalky White (Michael Kenneth Williams) in a prison garb and slabbing a rock with a pitchfork in the woods.

Earlier in the teaser, Chalky, not wearing his fancy suit, sits in the same room with two women. The younger girl says, "There's forgiveness for everyone. That's what Jesus said," but he corrects her, "Baby girl... Jesus was WRONG."
