Paul Rudd Coming Over to 'Parks and Recreation' as Rival
January 11, 2012 01:01:41Paul Rudd is coming over to "Parks and Recreation", nabbing a role that will give Amy Poehler's Leslie Knope a competition. Vulture reported that Rudd's character is an opponent in Leslie's race for city council.
It is yet revealed how many episodes Rudd will appear in but Vulture confirmed at least one out of the three episodes with campaign themes. Rudd shot his scenes late last year, meaning his appearance is likely to come within the next month.

A sneak peek which includes a lot of new footage from the third season as well as the actors' insight has just been released, emphasizing more on the two new characters played by Rob Lowe and Adam Scott.
Lowe plays Chris Traeger who is "the most positive person in the world" as well as "intense and specific". Scott meanwhile is Traeger's co-worker Ben Wyatt who has to deliver the bad news after Traeger leaves the room. In addition to these men, there will be guest starring appearances by Parker Posey and Will Forte as well as the return of Megan Mullally as Tammy Swanson.

'Parks and Recreation' to Adjust to Amy Poehler's Pregnancy
March 18, 2010 11:03:41Since the news of Amy Poehler's second pregnancy has come out, the fear of how it may affect "Parks and Recreation" production has also surfaced. Indeed, NBC is to make some adjustments to the comedy series to accommodate the pregnancy which will be due in late summer.
Producers want to make sure that "Parks and Recreation" will return as scheduled in late September or early October for the third season. Thus, one way to achieve that is by starting the production earlier and skipping the summer hiatus. "We'll continue in production of season three as soon as production of season two concludes," a rep for producer Universal Media Studios told TheWrap.
