In a promo for the new season of "Shameless", the patriarch of the dysfunctional family and three of his children make new year's resolutions with Fiona promising to stop hooking up with losers or car thieves, and find a solid job.
Her brother Phillip vows to stop stealing, fighting and scamming people, while Ian is determined to stop having a relationship with a married man. Among other promises they make, the two boys and Fiona agree to stop smoking.

Two Clips From 'Shameless' 1.02: Frank the Plank
January 10, 2011 02:01:15"Shameless", the American version, officially debuted on Sunday, January 9 with an introduction of the Gallagher family. Next week in "Frank the Plank", the dark comedy will show more about their neighbors, namely Veronica, Kev and Sheila.
The synopsis says, "When Frank goes out on a Friday night, he disappears and misses to cash his disability check. He wakes up in Toronto, but has no recollection of what happened." One clip shows his family, with the help of Veronica, making phone calls to find out his whereabouts. In the other clip, Frank visits Sheila with a flower, and repels her with his feet.

December 13, 2010 03:12:07Showtime made use of "Dexter" season 5 finale on Sunday, December 12 to promote its new comedy, "Shameless". The cable generously gave the first 20 minutes of the adaptation of British TV show with the same title.
The pilot is none other than the introduction to the characters, mainly the people who live under the same crooked roof and call themselves the Gallaghers. William H. Macy plays a far-from-stellar working-class patriarch of an unconventional Chicago brood of six while Emmy Rossum is the eldest daughter keeping things together.

October 20, 2010 02:10:25"Shameless", a new Showtime series based on a U.K. show of the same name, has released its first trailer in anticipation of the January premiere. The series is starring Oscar-nominated actor William H. Macy in the lead role and is coming from the production hand of John Wells ("ER, "Southland") and Paul Abbot ("State of Play", "Touching Evil").
Macy plays a far-from-stellar working class patriarch of an unconventional Chicago brood of six motley kids who keep the home afloat while he's out drinking and carousing. Playing the eldest kid Fiona is Emmy Rossum of "Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera" fame. Some of the other Gallagher siblings are portrayed by Cameron Monaghan, Emma Kenney, Ethan Cutkosky and Jeremy Allen White. Joan Cusack and Justin Chatwin are also in the show.
