April 24, 2013 11:04:40Jimmy Kimmel learns that "music fans in general love knowing about bands that no one else has ever heard of," so his "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" team "decided to conduct an experiment" during the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. At the recently-wrapped event in in Indio, California, they interviewed attendees about bands which don't exist.
Some young music lovers were asked about bands like Shorty Jizzle & the Plumber Cracks, Get the F**k Out of My Pool and The Chelsea Clintons which were made up, but that didn't stop them from saying good things about the fake bands. One guy said he loved The Obesity Epidemic's "whole style, their whole genre ... They're very innovative and they're new."

The 70-year-old, however, agreed to take questions from audience as long as it's not about "Star Wars". Then apparent fans of the sci-fi movie franshise, dressing in Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia costumes, stood up and asked silly questions like "Do you like being in movies?" and "Are you hungry?"

Informing his audience that he had found a replacement for the rocker for the Tuesday, February 26 episode of his show, the comedian said, "There's a very good reason why I didn't dump the Duck Dynasty guys for Morrissey, and it's because they have guns."
Kimmel went on saying in his monologue, "He [Morrissey] keeps finding new ways to depress us." He then introduced a skit which promoted new "Duck Dynasty" product for vegetarians, "carrot call," for luring vegetables which was described as "yuppie food."

February 26, 2013 01:02:16Following up the release of "Movie: The Movie" trailer after last year's Oscars, Jimmy Kimmel debuted a trailer for the sequel of "the greatest motion picture ever not made" on this year's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" post-Academy Awards show on Sunday, February 24. Titled "Movie: The Movie: 2V", the fake film features Rachel Weisz, Armie Hammer, Topher Grace, Jude Law, Bryan Cranston, John Krasinski, Chris Rock, Salma Hayek, Bruno Mars and more A-listers.
The faux movie has a "The Avengers"-like storyline, where Kimmel tries to save the world which is under attack by vampires, zombies and mummies. He tells his assistant, played by Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain, to contact the President (Oprah Winfrey), but she hangs up the phone.

Matt Damon-Hijacked Episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' Gets Primetime Encore
January 26, 2013 11:01:30"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" special episode hosted by Matt Damon will receive a special airing treatment. The January 24 outing will have a primetime encore Tuesday, January 29 at 10 P.M. ET on ABC, giving a chance for more people to watch the star-studded edition.
The primetime encore isn't too much considering the fact that the episode proved to be successful. It ranked No. 1 among all late-night programs with 2.92 rating in households and 1.23 rating in the 18-49 demo.

"We are bringing in back-up generators and will be able to do our show in the event of a power failure," says a representative for the Jimmy Kimmel-hosted program in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. "We are also flying staff and crew out earlier to beat the storm. We have had no audience drop-outs so far despite news of the storm."
