CBS Confirms 'Mom' and 'Mike and Molly' New Seasons, Also Renews '2 Broke Girls'

CBS has officially confirmed the renewals for comedies "" and "" after the news first broke on Wednesday, March 11. The network has also picked up sitcom "" for another season.

"Mom" is heading into its third season, "Mike & Molly" will return for a sixth season, while "2 Broke Girls" will be back for a fifth season. They join hit comedy "" which has been renewed for two more seasons.

"" and "" are staying on CBS for another season. Both shows from executive producer Chuck Lorre have reportedly been renewed for 2015-2016 season. The sophomore comedy starring will be back for a third season, while the Emmy-nominated sitcom starring will return for a sixth season.

CBS has not made an official statement on the renewals, but "Mom" writer Sheldon Bull confirmed the good news on Twitter. "MOM picked up for next year! Thanks, fans from all of us at MOM!" so he wrote.

Two CBS shows are casting actors as guest stars. Comedy "" has booked for a major recurring role in its sophomore run, while veteran drama "" has recruited to appear in two episodes of its sixth season.

Pressly, known for playing Joy Turner on NBC's sitcom "", will recur as a newly sober woman who at times is more than Christy () can handle. Co-creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre teases, "We have a great storyline this year."

is coming to another TV show after romancing on "" inaugural season. The "" actor lands a recurring role on CBS' upcoming comedy "", created by Chuck Lorre.

Lorre dropped the news at the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Monday, July 27. "There's going to be a love interest [for ' character] played by Justin Long -- that's going to come up in the first few episodes," he announced. "Poor bastard doesn't know what he's in for. He's going to be her first shot at a meaningful relationship."
