HBO Renews 'Veep' for Season 3
May 02, 2013 08:05:59Still in the mid of its second season, "Veep" has received a new season order. HBO has renewed the comedy series starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus as a vice president for a 10-episode third season, which will air in 2014.
The renewal came after the show hit a season high last Sunday (April 28) with 1.3 million viewers. Reacting to the new season order, Louis-Dreyfus tweeted, "A serious thank u 2 all @VeepHBO - our cast,writers,crew,producers,directors & our fearless, brilliant leader @Aiannucci! Joy!"

Later, the Vice President dispatches Dan (Reid Scott) to make sure the Macauley Amendment (i.e., the toxic Clean Jobs Bill) cannot be traced back to her. And with the perception growing that her office is nonfunctioning, Selina threatens to fire a key staffer.

HBO's New Comedies 'Veep' and 'Girls' Get Second Season Orders
May 01, 2012 11:05:41HBO's freshman series, "Veep" and "Girls", have received a vote of confidence from the network. After debuting last month, the two comedy series have secured new season orders which will bring them back for a second season consisting of ten episodes each.
Premiering April 21, "Veep" opened to 1.4 million viewers during its inaugural 10 P.M. ET broadcast and has since averaged 3.7 million total weekly viewers. The show stars Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus as a disenfranchised vice president of the United States.
