Star-Studded Extravaganza for 'Filth and Wisdom' New York Premiere
October 14, 2008 01:10:00In anticipation of the theatrical release of Madonna's directorial debut, "Filth and Wisdom" has been brought to New York City to celebrate its premiere. Hosted by The Cinema Society and Dolce and Gabbana, the comedy drama held a star-studded special screening event at the Sunshine Cinema on Monday, October 13, in New York City.
Hitting the red carpet solo without her director husband Guy Ritchie, Madonna came in wearing a conservative black dress completed with a pair of black stilettos. Of her movie, the legendary pop singer who is circling the globe for her Sticky & Sweet tour shared, "I'm so happy with the finished product. Writing it was actually my favorite part because it is so different from everything I do and deep down inside I'm really a writer."

Joining forces together, Hollywood names consisting of Rosamund Pike, Tom Wilkinson, Alan Cumming, Richard E. Grant, and Timothy Spall have all agreed to lend their voices to "Jackboots on Whitehall", a WWII spoof animated comedy of Britain's Swipe Films production.
Also lining up the U.K voice cast like Richard O'Brien and Pam Ferris, the project gives an alternative story of WWII with presenting what would have happened had Germany invaded Britain but were then defeated by the Scots at the border with England.

"Superman Returns: The Videogame" will soon hit the market, on June 26th to be exact. But prior to the release of the set, "X-Men: The Official Game" will be released earlier on May 16th, ten days before "X-Men: The Last Stand" hits worldwide theater.
And to make sure the game remains true to the movie version, not only it will include the likenesses and voices of several stars from the action drama fantasy flick, but it brings in too the screenwriter from the film. Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Alan Cumming and Shawn Ashmore will all reprise their film roles.

In time when "Brokeback Mountain" and other films are competing for Oscar, some films up for the 26th Annual Razzie Awards. Leading this year nominations is "Son of the Mask" which picks up eight nominations all at once, including Worst Picture, Worst Actor for Jamie Kennedy, Worst Supporting Actor for Alan Cumming and Bob Hoskins, Worst Director for Lawrence Guterman, Worst Screenplay, Worst Sequel or Remake, and Worst Screen Couple.
Following close behind is "The Dukes of Hazzard," with Jessica Simpson ups for Worst Supporting Actress and Worst Screen Couple for her 'Daisy Dukes' hotpants. Other nominated films include "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo," "House of Wax," "Dirty Love," and "The Dukes of Hazzard."
Alan Cumming Takes Part in Suffering Man's Charity
December 14, 2005 10:12:43Scottish actor Alan Cumming is handling double duty for "Suffering Man's Charity." Not only he is about to star in, but also direct as well. He would in the film join the likes of David Boreanaz, Anne Heche, Carrie Fisher, Henry Thomas, Karen Black and Jane Lynch.
"Suffering Man's Charity" is now in production in Los Angeles. Of horror comedy genre, the film portrays Boreanaz as a struggling writer who is accidentally killed by Cumming one evening. Cumming discovers the writer's novel and ends up taking credit for penning it. When it becomes a success, the writer comes back to haunt him.
