AceShowbiz - The second wave of nominations for the 2016 Teen Choice Awards has been announced. Former Disney darlings Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato lead the music category with additional five nods, bringing their totals to eight noms each.
The two songbirds are pitted against each other in categories like Choice Break-Up Song (for Gomez's "Same Old Love" as well as her collaboration with Charlie Puth "We Don't Talk Anymore", and Lovato's "Stone Cold"), Choice Summer Tour (for Gomez's "Revival" tour and Lovato's "Future Now" tour with co-headliner Nick Jonas) and Choice Summer Music Star: Female.
Gomez also has her other hit "Hands to Myself" nominated for Choice Love Song alongside Jonas' Tove Lo-featured "Close", One Direction's "Perfect" and Ariana Grande's "Into You" among others. Meanwhile, Lovato is up for Choice Country Song for her featuring appearance on Brad Paisley's "Without a Fight" and Choice Song from a Movie or TV Show for her cover of "I Will Survive" from the "Angry Birds" movie.
Fifth Harmony and DNCE are the other big nominees as they earn four each, including Choice Summer Song for the ladies' "Work From Home" and Joe Jonas' new band's "Cake by the Ocean". Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, Drake, Rihanna and Zayn Malik are among other acts bagging three nods apiece.
Fans can vote for their favorites in music, movie, TV and other categories on the TCA website. The winners will be revealed during a two-hour ceremony that's scheduled to air July 31 on FOX.
