AceShowbiz - iHeartRadio has finally announced the nominations for its 12th annual award show, which honors the most-played artists and songs on its radio stations and app throughout 2023. Among those who lead the nominations of the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards are Taylor Swift, Jelly Roll, SZA and 21 Savage.
The nominations list was revealed on its official website and Instagram account on Thursday, January 18. It could be seen that Taylor leads the pack as the most-nominated singer with nine nods. Meanwhile, Jelly Roll, SZA and 21 Savage, who earn eight nods each, follow the "All Too Well" hitmaker. Furthermore, 20-year-old singer Olivia Rodrigo has seven nominations.
Taylor, SZA, 21 Savage and Olivia are all up for Song of the Year, with Taylor being nominated for "Cruel Summer", SZA for Kill Bill", 21 Savage for his collaborative song "Creepin'" with Metro Boomin as well as The Weeknd, and Olivia for "vampire". Moreover, Taylor, SZA, Olivia and Jelly Roll are competing against each other for Artist of the Year.
This year, fans are given the chance to show their support for their idols by voting for them in "several new and established fan-voted categories." The new categories include Best Lyrics, Best Music Video, Best Fan Army, Social Star Award, Favorite Tour Photographer, TikTok Bop of the Year, Favorite On Screen, Favorite Tour Style and Favorite Debut Album.
Fans will be able to start voting on January 18 through the award show's official website iHeartRadio.com/awards. The social voting is set to be closed on March 25 at 11:59 P.M. PT for all categories.
The show itself is slated to be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday, April 1 from 8 P.M. to 10 P.M. ET. Fans will be able to watch on FOX. In addition, the show will be broadcast on iHeartRadio stations and its app.
