AceShowbiz - "Glee" continues its domination in the annual People's Choice Awards. Following its seven nominations and five nominations at last year's and this year's PCAs respectively, the popular drama series now leads the pack of TV nominees for the upcoming event.
The Ryan Murphy-created show nabs eight nominations, facing off "2 Broke Girls", "The Big Bang Theory", "How I Met Your Mother" and "Modern Family" in Favorite Network TV Comedy category. Its stars Chris Colfer and Darren Criss are up against each other for Favorite Comedic TV Actor, while Jane Lynch and Lea Michele are competing with other female stars for Favorite Comedic TV Actress.
In Favorite Network TV Drama category, "Chicago Fire", "The Good Wife", "Grey's Anatomy", "Nashville" and "Parenthood" are pitted against each other. Meanwhile, "Beauty and the Beast", "Once Upon a Time", "Supernatural", "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Walking Dead" are the nominees in Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show.
"Bones", "Castle", "Criminal Minds", "The Mentalist" and "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" land a nod in Favorite TV Crime Drama category, while "Californication", "Game of Thrones", "Girls", "Homeland" and "True Blood" are eying the prize for Favorite Premium Cable TV Show.
The 2014 People's Choice Awards also adds new TV categories, such as Favorite TV Anti-Hero, Favorite TV Bromance, Favorite TV Gal Pals and Favorite Streaming Series. Recently canceled series "30 Rock", "Breaking Bad", "Dexter", "Fringe" and "The Office" are additionally honored with a nomination in Favorite Series We Miss Most category.
The upcoming PCAs will broadcast live on CBS on January 8 at 9 P.M. ET. "2 Broke Girls" stars Beth Behrs and Kat Dennings will host the event. As usual, fans can vote for their favorites in TV, movie and music on the official website until December 5.
