Kat Dennings was born Katherine Victoria Litwack on June 13, 1986, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She is the youngest of five children in a Jewish family. Her father, Gerald Litwack, is a molecular pharmacologist and professor, and her mother, Ellen Judith Litwack, is a poet and speech therapist.
