The 43rd annual American Music Awards announces nominations with the help of Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth on "Good Morning America". Taylor Swift leads the pack with a total of six nods while Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd trail closely with five each.
Swift, Sheeran, and The Weekend are pitted against one another in the coveted Artist of the Year and Song of the Year categories. The Weeknd is additionally nominated for New Artist of the Year, facing off Fetty Wap, Sam Hunt, Tove Lo, and Walk the Moon.
Other nominees include Sam Smith, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Rihanna, Kanye West, Ariana Grande, Beyonce Knowles, Justin Bieber, Calvin Harris. Puth himself scores two nods while Jonas gets one only.
The 2015 AMAs is set to broadcast live from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California on November 22. Jennifer Lopez is tapped to serve as a host and musical guest.
