Winners of 2013 Critics' Choice TV Awards: 'Game of Thrones' and 'Breaking Bad' Tie for Best Drama

AMC's 'Breaking Bad' wins another prize, Best Actor, for Bryan Cranston, while CBS' 'The Big Bang Theory' tops the list in term of number with three throphies.

Fresh off its Sunday season 3 finale, "Game of Thrones" was hailed at the 2013 Critics' Choice Television Awards. The HBO medieval series grabbed the Best Drama award, sharing the title with "Breaking Bad" while edging out other strong competitors, including "The Americans", "Downton Abbey", "The Good Wife" and "Homeland".

"Breaking Bad" snatched another prize, Best Actor in a Drama Series, for its lead Bryan Cranston. Winning the title for the second time, he thanked the critics as saying, "If you were not a conduit, we would not be anywhere."

Leading the nomination list with 6, "The Big Bang Theory" ended up becoming a big winner in term of number with three prizes. The CBS high-rated sitcom was named Best Comedy Series. "I'm so used to laughing at [Modern Family's] Steve Levitan at these moments. I've never thanked critics in my whole life!" said "Big Bang" executive producer Chuck Lorre when accepting the prize.

Its star Kaley Cuoco defeated co-star Melissa Rauch for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy trophy. She shared the award with Eden Sher of "The Middle". Meanwhile, Simon Helberg was chosen as Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

"Behind the Candelabra" was the Best Movie or Miniseries, edging out the likes of "American Horror Story: Asylum" and "Political Animals". Though losing the said title, the FX horror series managed to bag two gongs through Zachary Quinto and Sarah Paulson's wins as Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a Movie or Miniseries.

"Behind the Candelabra" lead actor Michael Douglas, in the meantime, beat out his on-screen lover Matt Damon for the Best Actor in a Movie or Miniseries award. Elisabeth Moss was chosen as Best Actress in a Movie or Miniseries for her role on Sundance's "Top of the Lake", jokingly saying, "I've never won an award for acting. I have to remember not to thank anyone from 'Mad Men'!"

The gala night for the third annual Critics' Choice TV Awards was held June 10 in Beverly Hills. "Parks and Recreation" star Retta served as the host.
