AMC Sets Premiere Date of 'Breaking Bad' Final Episodes, Announces 'Talking Bad'
April 18, 2013 09:04:57AMC has finally revealed the midseason premiere date of the fifth and last installment of "Breaking Bad". At its upfront presentation to advertisers on Wednesday, April 17, the cable channel announced that the crime drama series would return with the final eight episodes starting Sunday, August 11 at 9 P.M. ET/PT.
The network also announced a new weekly half-hour talk show, "Talking Bad", that will air live following "Breaking Bad" episode. It is modeled after "Talking Dead", a companion to "The Walking Dead", which has just been picked up for a third season.

AMC Developing 'Breaking Bad' Spin-Off Focusing on Saul Goodman
April 10, 2013 10:04:01As "Breaking Bad" is nearing its end, AMC is reportedly mulling a spin-off. Series creator Vince Gilligan and writer-producer Peter Gould are said working on the potential new show, which will revolve around Bob Odenkirk's shady criminal lawyer Saul Goodman.
The project, which is eyed as a comedy, is still in the very early stages with no deals in place. It also has not been determined whether it will be developed with a one-hour or a half-hour format.

'Breaking Bad' Script Missing After Thief Broke Into Bryan Cranston's Car
March 26, 2013 08:03:21"Breaking Bad" script was stolen from Bryan Cranston's car on the show's set in New Mexico last year, authorities revealed on Monday, March 25. Xavier Macafee, a man who's accused of breaking into the actor's car has now been held on suspicion of burglary.
The Walter White of the AMC drama series reported the theft on March 1, alleging that someone broke his car window and snatched a shoulder bag from his vehicle which was parked at Sandia Peak on December 20. Other stuff reported missing were iPad and "miscellaneous personal items."

'Breaking Bad' Star Dean Norris Teases a Glimpse of Mid-Season Premiere Episode
December 24, 2012 09:12:12Before AMC's "Breaking Bad" kicks off the second half of its fifth season, one of the series' lead stars, Dean Norris, makes things a little bit more interesting for fans as he tweets an image of his character in a rather unpleasant situation. The first glimpse of the mid-season opener reveals Norris' character, DEA agent Hank Schrader, sitting on a toilet and faced with a shocking revelation.
At first look, the photo immediately suggests a hilarious situation for agent Schrader. While he enjoys some quiet time in the comfort room, he also realizes that his dear brother-in-law, Walt, may be in fact the meth-King Heisenberg he had been chasing for months. The scenario intends to show a funny predicament for Norris' character while he absorbs and figures out what to do with his dilemma.

Video: 'Downton Abbey' Cast Does 'Breaking Bad' on 'The Colbert Report'
December 15, 2012 12:12:18When "Downton Abbey" cast spent a few days in the U.S., Stephen Colbert didn't miss the chance to ask them to take part in his show. While the British actors didn't appear in person on "The Colbert Report" Thursday night, December 13, the episode featured them in a "Breaking Bad" spoof.
Titled "Breaking Abbey", the parody was introduced by Colbert as a preview for the upcoming season of the AMC crime series. The first scene sees Rob James-Collier's Thomas and Jim Carter's Carson cooking up meth in the Crawleys' house as the Earl (Hugh Bonneville) tries to keep his promise to a buyer.

In the best drama series category, "Breaking Bad" is facing off "Boardwalk Empire", "Game of Thrones", "Homeland" and "Mad Men". The last two mentioned shows also land multiple nominations with two apiece.

Not giving a straight "yes" or "no" answer, he coyly adds, "Have we seen him cooking his last batch? Hard to say... But it's looking like he's out of the business for sure... We're still working out the final eight episodes."

Kicking off the show's fifth and final season, the episode titled "Live Free or Die" which aired at 10-11 P.M. delivered 2.9 million viewers (up 14% from last season's premiere). It marked the biggest audience ever for an episode of the series.
The rating also grew in the coveted 18-49 demo, showing a 34% increase from season 4 debut with 1.9 million audience. Among the adults 25-54 demo, it attracted 1.8 million viewers or increased 28% from last year. When the 11:30 P.M. EST encore is also counted, the show drew a total of 3.5 million viewers.

In an interview on Tuesday, July 10, the former "Malcolm in the Middle" actor admitted it's a hard work for him to take double duty at the same time. "As an actor on the show it's really, really difficult - if you're in it a lot obviously - to be able to prep so I take opportunities before we're actually in production shooting," he said, revealing that he would make use of a break in between the production to prepare his directing gig.
