AMC Sets Premiere Date of 'Breaking Bad' Final Episodes, Announces 'Talking Bad'

AMC has finally revealed the midseason premiere date of the fifth and last installment of "". At its upfront presentation to advertisers on Wednesday, April 17, the cable channel announced that the crime drama series would return with the final eight episodes starting Sunday, August 11 at 9 P.M. ET/PT.

The network also announced a new weekly half-hour talk show, "Talking Bad", that will air live following "Breaking Bad" episode. It is modeled after "Talking Dead", a companion to "", which has just been picked up for a third season.

As "" is nearing its end, AMC is reportedly mulling a spin-off. Series creator Vince Gilligan and writer-producer Peter Gould are said working on the potential new show, which will revolve around Bob Odenkirk's shady criminal lawyer Saul Goodman.

The project, which is eyed as a comedy, is still in the very early stages with no deals in place. It also has not been determined whether it will be developed with a one-hour or a half-hour format.

"" script was stolen from 's car on the show's set in New Mexico last year, authorities revealed on Monday, March 25. Xavier Macafee, a man who's accused of breaking into the actor's car has now been held on suspicion of burglary.

The Walter White of the AMC drama series reported the theft on March 1, alleging that someone broke his car window and snatched a shoulder bag from his vehicle which was parked at Sandia Peak on December 20. Other stuff reported missing were iPad and "miscellaneous personal items."

The first glimpse of the mid-season opener reveals Norris' character, DEA agent Hank Schrader, sitting on a toilet and faced with a shocking revelation.

At first look, the photo immediately suggests a hilarious situation for agent Schrader. While he enjoys some quiet time in the comfort room, he also realizes that his dear brother-in-law, Walt, may be in fact the meth-King Heisenberg he had been chasing for months. The scenario intends to show a funny predicament for Norris' character while he absorbs and figures out what to do with his dilemma.
