Michael Douglas to Star as a Ghost in Upcoming Comedy Project
February 05, 2008 03:02:07Earlier, it was reported that the cast of comedy romantic film "The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" have five additional members. However, ComingSoon reported there is one more additional cast to be added to the ghostly ensemble, that is the Academy Award-winning actor Michael Douglas.
According to the site, the movie director Mark Walter revealed that the "Basic Instinct" star is also joining Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner to star in the film. At the New York junket of "The Spiderwick Chronicles", Walter exposed that the 63-year-old actor is going to portray, as quoted, "the Marley character, the old ghost who's dead, his Uncle Wayne, a '70s playboy, who was his mentor and he wears Bob Evans shades and guides him around the ghost world."

Hollywood's celebrated couple Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are planning to pack their things to cross the ocean for filming a big screen feature.
"I'm looking forward to going to India," Zeta-Jones told The Times of India Thursday, September 13, 2007. "Michael and I are developing a script that will be set up in India. We will take our kids and all of us will come there, set up camp in India and shoot a film."

It's official. Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are now officially husband-and-wife as they made it legal in a July 6th civil ceremony in Paris.
Wearing a pink Chanel dress with striped black and white straps, Eva then changed into a short white dress for the ceremony, took place at the Mairie (city hall for the 4th Arrondissement) in Place Baudoyer, not far from Notre Dame. The groom arrived about 10 minutes after her, wearing a dark suit went straight in without waving. He was accompanied by a group of friends, one of them was French soccer star Thierry Henry.

On board to enact what seems to be a promising role, Michael Douglas has given his commitment to topline a courtroom thriller flick entitled "Tragic Indifference" which he also sets to produce via his Furthur Films for 2929 Productions.
In this project, based on a landmark liability case against Ford, the Oscar-winning actor will play attorney Tab Turner, who brought the automaker to court on behalf of Donna Bailey, a single mother from Texas who was paralyzed and nearly died after her Ford Explorer flipped in 2000. The trial later exposed the company's indifference to flaws in its SUVs.

Detailing on the case, the lawsuit mentioned that both companies had misused the two educational-purposed segments Douglas tapped in 2004 for commercial gain. Whereas, the so-called "Learning About ..." series supposedly was presented as educational and noncommercial, and was to focus on music, history and science, among other subjects.
