The nominees for the 2016 People's Choice Awards were unveiled on Tuesday, November 3. In music field, The Weeknd leads the pack with five nods including Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Breakout Artist and Favorite R&B Artist.

The Canadian singer's "Beauty Behind the Madness" is in contention for the Favorite Album Award, the same prize vied by Fall Out Boy's "American Beauty/American Psycho", Drake's "If You're Reading This It's Too Late", Imagine Dragons' "Smoke + Mirrors" and Meghan Trainor's "Title".

Additionally, "Can't Feel My Face" from his latest effort is nominated in the Favorite Song category. It's pitted against Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar's "Bad Blood", Ellie Goulding's "Love Me Like You Do", Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's "See You Again" and Justin Bieber's "What Do You Mean?".
