The first wave of nominations for 2011 Teen Choice Awards has been announced. Unsurprisingly, "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" leads the list with nine nods, followed by "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" which is nominated for five awards.
"Eclipse" receives noms for Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Choice Movie: Male Scene Stealer, Choice Movie: Villain, and Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy. The David Slade-directed movie also gets two nominations each in Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy (for Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner) and Choice Movie: Liplock (for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson as well as Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner).
Meanwhile, "Deathly Hallows: Part I" is nominated for Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Choice Movie: Liplock, and Choice Movie: Villain. Other films collecting nominations for this year's Teen Choice include "Fast Five", "X-Men: First Class", "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and "Green Lantern".
2011 Teen Choice Awards also presents kudos for best performances in music, television and others. The event is going to take place on Sunday, August 7 at 8/7 central on FOX. Fans aged 13 to 19 can vote for their favorites on the official website starting from Wednesday, June 29.
