October 02, 2009 09:10:59What happens if a hard-charging hockey player is sentenced to work as real tooth fairy? 20th Century Fox has just released the first trailer for "Tooth Fairy" via Yahoo! Movies and offered a look at the difficulties The Rock's Derek Thompson faces when he reluctantly learns his way to be the mythical character.
Derek "The Tooth Fairy" Thompson is a minor league hockey player whose nickname comes from his habit of separating opposing players from their bicuspids. Often discouraging youngsters from their dreams, he is sentenced to hard labor as a real tooth fairy, complete with the requisite tutu, wings and magic wand.
The Rock Confirmed to Visit 'SmackDown' Special
October 01, 2009 03:10:19It is now confirmed that The Rock will make a return to television by showing his face on MyNetworkTV's "SmackDown" 10th Anniversary. The wrestler-turned-actor's visit is the highlighted segment of the monumental event which is dubbed "Decade of SmackDown".
It is unclear, however, if The Rock will get inside the ring or simply appearing. For a fact, Triple H is also one of the featured guests on the show airing Friday, October 2 at 8/7c. The Rock, whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, has a history together with Triple H since they were the first fighters featured on the show's debut episode.

In the latest issue of Production Weekly (PW), the former-wrestler-turned-actor has been listed as being attached to the Walt Disney Pictures adventure fantasy film, though it is still unclear what character he will carry out.
There is possibility that the Jack Bruno of the recently-released "Race to Witch Mountain" will be portraying the titular character, Captain Nemo, since he already has a good track record with Disney. Still, director McG has earlier confessed his hope of having Will Smith as the scientific genius in the project.

Zac Efron and The Rock Possibly Team Up for 'The Adventures of Jonny Quest'
February 16, 2009 01:02:58Cartoon classic "The Adventures of Jonny Quest" is likely to be brought to the big screen and words are circulating that it may see Zac Efron and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson among the major cast. IESB has recently come up with a scoop about the two actors' possible team up for the big screen adaptation.
Allegedly, Efron, the star of "High School Musical 3: Senior Year", is being considered by Warner Bros. to take on the lead role, Jonny Quest, while The Rock, who is last seen starring in "Race to Witch Mountain" could end up portraying Race Bannon. If The Rock indeed joins the project, he may reunite with director Andy Fickman, whom he worked with on "The Game Plan" and "Witch Mountain".

ABC Family Picks Up '10 Things I Hate About You' for TV Series
October 09, 2008 04:10:15The 1999 American romantic comedy film, "10 Things I Hate About You" is picked up by ABC Family to be produced into TV series along with the comedy "Ruby and the Rockits". The American cable television network has announced that it will make two half-hour pilots of the two series to join the ABC Family program. Filming in Los Angeles, both pilots will go into production this fall.
The movie's director of "10 Things", Gil Junger, will also shoot the pilot, which is written and executive produced by Carter Covington. The series will focus more on sisters Kate and Bianca Stratford in facing their new high school environment. "10 Things" is based on the Heath Ledger romantic comedy film which was also starred by Julia Stiles and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The film itself was based on Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew".
'Tropic Thunder' Reigns Supreme Twice in a Row

Being the summer movie that dethroned "The Dark Knight" after it dominated the revenue chart for four weeks last weekend, the DreamWorks Pictures' flick collects $16.3 million to add to the total of $65.8 million.
Though its sales dropped 37%, the hilarious film about a group of actors stuck in a real war-like situation when filming a Vietnam War movie is still left untouched by its two new competitors, "The House Bunny" and "Death Race". Commenting on the success, Media By Numbers' president Paul Dergarabedian says, "It's a really funny film. The word of mouth has been incredibly strong. It has maintained its momentum and headed into the weekend with really strong midweek box-office numbers."
The Rock and Brendan Fraser Tapped in 'G.I. Joe'?

Joe: Rise of Cobra" has started its production this February, it seems that the casting have yet to be settled as new casting reports are still coming in. The latest reports came from the action adventure film suggested that the former WWE champion Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson may get a role in the film, whereas Brendan Fraser have been tapped to join the cast.
According to Latino Review, Rock has been offered the role of Hector Delgado, a Navy Seal who is nicknamed Shipwreck, while Fraser has been signed to make a cameo appearance in the film as Gung Ho, the Village People-looking soldier. The site further noted that Rock has yet to make any decision on the offer. Meanwhile, on Fraser's role, it was said that the star of "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" has done shooting for his one scene role. The scene reportedly is taken place at 'The Pit' and it will be showing a training sequence.

Continues to boost up its cast list, Warner Bros.' "Get Smart" has added two more noted names of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Terence Stamp to join previously-announced Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway, who finally is positive to star in, into the lineup.

"In all likelihood, I will do a movie called 'Daddy's Girl,' with Disney, that I'm really excited about," he said. As of the story, the film follows a star quarterback on an NFL team, very brash and cocky, but not in the way of Tyrell Owens in the States but in the way of a Brett Favre who is so respected and everybody loves, but who has been single all of his life. His life gets turned upside down when his little daughter comes into his life, who's six years old.
