Denzel Washington Back for 'Unstoppable'
July 23, 2009 05:07:12Two weeks after formally stating his withdrawal from "Unstoppable", Denzel Washington is coming back to join the 20th Century Fox's drama. On Wednesday, July 22, Variety reported that the two-time Academy Award-winner and the studio have closed the deal which makes the project back on its track.
Back on July 14, the publication came up with a story that Washington decided to let go of his attachment to the movie project. Rumors at that time suggested the actor left the project because the studio tried to cut down their budget which resulted in them asking him to shave some of his fee. Following Washington's withdrawal, the studio allegedly prepared a new offer with hope that he might reconsider his decision of leaving the movie project.

Denzel Washington Out From 'Unstoppable'
July 14, 2009 02:07:57Denzel Washington has dropped out from his involvement in 20th Century Fox's "Unstoppable", Variety reported. According to an insider close to Washington, the actor decided that he won't join the cast after waiting for almost three months while the studio is still trying to set a budget and a start date.
Washington might leave the movie project because the studio tried to cut the $100 million budget to $90 million which resulted in them asking the two-time Oscar winner to shave $4 million of his $20 million fee. The "The Taking of Pelham 123" actor turned down the request and decided to seek other projects for the fall.

Chris Pine Will Possibly Join Denzel Washington Starring in 'Unstoppable'
June 05, 2009 01:06:29Having no plan to slow down when it comes to adding more resume into his acting career, Chris Pine reportedly will land a role in upcoming drama movie "Unstoppable." Breaking the news was Denzel Washington, who told MTV backstage at its 18th annual Movie Awards on Sunday, May 31, "I'm going to shoot a movie in the fall called 'Unstoppable' - me and Tony Scott - and Chris Pine's going to do it with us."
"I hope I'm not speaking out of line. I think they made a deal with him, and I'm supposed to meet him next week," Denzel quickly added. When asked to verify the matter, a spokesperson for The 20th Century Fox which produces the film told MTV, "We're in negotiations with him, but no deal yet."
