Among the notable figures in the entertainment industry make the magazine's list of 50 Most Stylish Men in the Past 50 Years are the Academy Award nominated Italian film actor Marcello Mastroianni, musicians David Bowie and Bob Dylan, and actors Steve McQueen and George Clooney.

Entitled "Rex Mundi" just like the series' name, the project is likely to also present a tale of murder, sin, and redemption that the original version has thoroughly described. "It's a noir-ish Raiders of the Lost Ark," so Uhls revealed to the Times. "There are murders and a mystery, and the lead character discovers a massive conspiracy, biblical in its origin." Depp himself is said to portray a pathologist investigating the death of a priest who found him as an orphan.

The movie telling the story of a heroin addict-and-fugitive found the director truly runs away from the project starting its production in the spring of 2007. Peter Weir has left the project after several irreconcilable differences in the interpretation with Warner Bross, Graham King and Johnny Depp as the producer in adapting the Gregory David Robert's 944-page novel, "Shantaram". Weir was a qualified choice then, due to his respectively easy-going behavior.
The quest for new director is still ongoing, without any doubt that the production will be able to start on its targeted time instead of meeting a total cancellation. So far, the search has reached the exotic India and the land of Europe (Spain and the UK).

From Johnny Depp to Cameron Diaz. As of Depp, he's been voted the Best Autographer in Hollywood by Autograph Collector's 14th annual survey. Elsewhere, Diaz is chosen as Hollywood's Worst Autograph Signer.
Speaking on the two persons, the magazine's editor Steve Cyrkin said "Many stars become bad signers once fame and fortune hit, but not Depp", while adding "Instead of just turning down someone's autograph request, she'll just lecture them about how dumb autographs are."
Stars Considered to Line Up Michael Hutchence Film

The idea to make the movie biopic about INXS star Michael Hutchence, who committed suicide in 1997, has been opposed by the star's family. Though, the project keeps going on with Hutchence's brother, Rhett Hutchence is said to be heavily involved.
Rhett is working on the biopic alongside British filmmaker and former INXS promo video director Nick Egan. Actors considered to star in among others are Johnny Depp who is being lined up to play Michael Hutchence. Meanwhile, the likes of Sienna Miller, Eric Bana, Naomi Watts, and Rachel Griffiths are being considered for the roles of Paula Yates and Bob Geldof.

The survey, involving 1,001 adults, places Johnny Depp as second on the list, ahead of Harrison Ford and John Wayne who both tied in 3rd spot.
Rounding out the top 5 is actress Julia Roberts. Clint Eastwood is in 6th place, while Mel Gibson is in 7th spot. George Clooney is 8th, followed then at 9th by Sean Connery, with Sandra Bullock rounding out the Top 10 list on the poll.
