The 'Dark Horse' singer is nominated in various categories including Best Song, Best Video, Best Pop, Best Female and Best Live.

AceShowbiz - The nominees of the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards have been unveiled. Katy Perry is the biggest nominee as she earns seven nods including Best Song and Best Video for Juicy J-assisted "Dark Horse", Best Pop, Best Female and Best Live.

The 29-year-old performer is also nominated for Best U.S. Act alongside Beyonce Knowles, Eminem, Pharrell Williams and another nominee that will be decided by fans. In contention for the last slot in the category are Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Trey Songz, Fifth Harmony and Austin Mahone.

Fans can vote for their favorite on Twitter using the hashtag Demi Lovato #MTVEMA #NominateDemiLovato, Ariana Grande #MTVEMA #NominateArianaGrande, Trey Songz #MTVEMA #NominateTreySongz and so on.

Trailing closely behind Perry with six nominations is Grande. The former Nickelodeon star is up for Best Song for "Problem" featuring Iggy Azalea, Best Pop, Best New and Biggest Fans among others. Pharrell and 5 Seconds of Summer both score five nods apiece, while Azalea, Eminem, Nicki Minaj, One Direction and Sam Smith bag four each.

Other notable nominees include Miley Cyrus (Best Pop), Imagine Dragons (Best Live and Best Rock), Sia Furler (Best Video for "Chandelier" and Best Push) and Taylor Swift (Best Female and Best Look).

The 2014 MTV EMAs will air live on November 9 at 07:00 P.M. E.T. from SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland following a pre-show in Miami, Florida. Voting in all categories is open on mtvema.com until November 8.
