In a surprising turn of events, pop and RnB icon, who switches genre to country music, has taken the lead in nominations for the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards.

AceShowbiz - The 2024 People's Choice Country Awards, set to air live on September 26 from Nashville's Grand Ole Opry House, sees Beyonce Knowles topping the nomination list with 12 nods, including categories like People's Artist of 2024, Social Country Star of 2024 and multiple entries in Female Song of 2024 and Cover Song of 2024 for her latest album "Cowboy Carter".

Zach Bryan trails with 11 nominations, reinforcing his growing influence in the country music scene. This year's event has expanded to 18 categories, six more than last year, reflecting the genre's dynamic growth. Notably, among the top nominees are Kacey Musgraves with 10 nominations, highlighting her crossover appeal, and Shaboozey, the front-runner for The New Artist of 2024 with 12 nominations.

Shania Twain, a celebrated figure in country music, will host the show. Twain expressed her excitement, stating, "I am honored to host an award show that celebrates these awesome fans. Get ready for an unforgettable show with lots of big hair, glamor, rhinestones, hats, boots and incredible performances."

Fans play a crucial role in the awards, as every category is fan-voted. Voting is open through August 23, with a special "Turbo Tuesday" on August 20, during which votes count twice. This emphasizes the awards' motto as "an award show for the people and by the people."
