AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles officially kicked off her "Cowboy Carter" and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour on April 28 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The tour's opening night was a family affair highlighted by unforgettable moments, powerful performances, and a celebration of familial love.
13-year-old Blue Ivy Carter returned to the stage, dancing front and center during "America Has a Problem." The crowd roared with approval while Beyoncé beamed proudly from the sidelines. The excitement continued when Beyoncé's younger daughter, Rumi, made her onstage debut during the tender ballad "Protector."
"Even though I know someday you're gonna shine on your own, I will be your protector," Beyoncé sang, as Rumi joined her and Blue under the spotlight. The emotional performance concluded with the three standing together, sharing an intimate family moment that left fans reaching for tissues.
The night was also a reminder of Blue Ivy's growing presence in her mother's performances. She had previously performed in the 2023 Renaissance World Tour and had a solo spot during the Beyoncé Bowl NFL halftime show on Christmas Day in 2024. However, it marked a new chapter for Rumi and hinted at a possible future in performing like her elder sister.
The tour, which spans 32 stadium shows across the U.S. and Europe and wraps up in Las Vegas on July 26, also highlights Beyoncé's historic accomplishments. She made history at SoFi Stadium by playing more dates than any other artist.
