The iconic Panoptikum Museum in Hamburg, Germany has added wax figures of renowned music stars to its collection, eliciting mixed reactions from fans on social media.

AceShowbiz - On August 13, 2023, the Panoptikum Museum unveiled its newest additions: wax figures of Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. The figures were intended to pay tribute to the two music icons, but their reception has been far from unanimous.

Some fans expressed disappointment, criticizing the figures' lack of accuracy and detail. On social media, comments ranged from "They look so off I'm crying" to "Ed looks like his legs don't work like they used to before."

However, not all reactions were negative. Some defended the figures, praising their realism and the attention to detail in recreating the artists' likenesses. One user wrote, "Honestly really good renditions! Taylor's looks great!"

The Panoptikum Museum expressed enthusiasm over the addition of these two figures to its collection. In a press release, Managing Director Dr. Susanne Faerber stated, "With the wax figure of Taylor Swift, we are welcoming an absolute superstar to the Panoptikum."

Ed Sheeran's figure holds particular significance as it was the first wax figure created by sculptor Lisa Buscher. She noted the challenges involved in capturing the singer's intricate tattoos, a process that took over two years.

Alongside Swift and Sheeran, the Panoptikum Museum features over 120 other influential figures from around the world, including actors, politicians and historical icons.
