While "La La Land" leads the pack in the movie category, "The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story" dominates the TV category at the upcoming 74th annual Golden Globe Awards. The show collects a total of five nominations including Best Limited Series or TV Movie.
Although the FX true-story show gets the most nods, it's HBO which tops the game with a whooping 14 nominations. The premium cable scores the nods with popular shows like "Game of Thrones" and "Veep" as well as newbies like "Westworld".
Another freshman "Stranger Things" manages to snatch two nominations. The Netflix show is vying for Best Drama Series with "The Crown", "Game of Thrones", "Westworld" and "This Is Us". It also earns Winona Ryder a nod for Best Actress in a Drama Series.
Winners in both movie and television categories will be feted at a live telecast on January 8 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. Jimmy Fallon will host the event and Meryl Streep will receive Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award.
