The British singer is up for four awards including Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Breakout Artist and Favorite Album for his debut effort 'In the Lonely Hour'.

The nominees for the 2015 People's Choice Awards have been announced. In music field, Sam Smith becomes the most nominated act as he bags four nods including Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Breakout Artist and Favorite Song for his hit "Stay With Me".

His debut album, "In the Lonely Hour", is nominated in the Favorite Album category alongside Pharrell Williams' "G I R L", Coldplay's "Ghost Stories", Ariana Grande's "My Everything" and Ed Sheeran's "X".

Trailing behind the British sensation are Taylor Swift and Pharrell Williams who score three nominations each. The country-turned-pop star's nominations include Favorite Female Artist, where she's pitted against Beyonce Knowles, Iggy Azalea, Sia Furler and rumored nemesis Katy Perry.

Pharrell, meanwhile, is competing against Smith in the Favorite Artist and Favorite Album categories. He's also battling fellow R&B stars like Chris Brown, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend and Usher for Favorite R&B Artist.

Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Nicki Minaj, Jessie J, Meghan Trainor, Blake Shelton and John Legend are other musicians who score multiple PCA nominations.

Fans can vote for their favorites on PeoplesChoice.com until December 4. Winners in all fields, including movie and TV, will be revealed during the People's Choice Awards ceremony which is airing on CBS from the Nokia Theatre on January 7, 2015. Anna Faris and Allison Janney will host the event.
