
As the first wave of nominations is announced, it is unraveled that country music beauty Swift wins over dance queen GaGa in terms of number with five nods in the music categories.

Taylor Swift and Lady GaGa made the nomination list for the first wave of 2011 Teen Choice Awards which was announced on Wednesday, June 29. The "Mine" songstress and the Mother Monster are going to battle it out for Choice Music: Female Artist kudo. Other contenders in the category are Adele, Katy Perry and Rihanna.
Swift basically dominates the nomination list in music as she gets five nods in total. The "Valentine's Day" actress gets the other honors for Choice Music: Female Country Artist, Choice Music: Country Single, Choice Music: Love Song and Choice Break-Up Song.
As for GaGa, she grabs her second nod for Choice Music: Single category, which once again puts her up against Perry. Perry herself is to compete against Swift, Selena Gomez, Allstar Weekend and Bruno Mars for Choice Music: Love Song trophy.
Meanwhile, the coveted Choice Music: Male Artist trophy will see Justin Bieber competing against Jason Derulo, Cee-Lo Green and Enrique Iglesias in addition to Mars. The Canadian teen singer only gets one nod in music, but he is named as Choice TV: Villain contender and gets multiple nominations in the non-traditional categories.
Bieber's girlfriend, Gomez, emerges among Choice Music: Group nominees with her band The Scene. They are going to face Black Eyed Peas, Far East Movement, "Glee" cast and The Script for the title.
Fans aged 13-19 can visit the official website of 2011 Teen Choice Awards to vote for their favorites. The prize-giving event will hand out kudos for the winners in music, movie, TV and other categories during a gala held on Sunday, August 7. FOX will broadcast the show live.
