Beyonce Leads 2015 Grammy Nominees, Is the Most Grammy-Nominated Woman Ever

The diva is nominated in five categories including Best R'n'B Performance, Best R'n'B Song, Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Surround Sound Album.

AceShowbiz - The complete nominations list for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards was revealed on Friday, December 5. Beyonce Knowles and Sam Smith lead the pack with five nominations each. The former is nominated in categories including Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song both for her Jay-Z-assisted "Drunk in Love". Her 2013 self-titled surprise album is additionally nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Surround Sound Album.

With five new nominations, Beyonce has set new record for the most Grammy-nominated woman in the history after surpassing Dolly Parton. When it comes to winning, however, Bey now has 17 Grammys and she has to win 10 more to match Alison Krauss who currently has more Grammys than any other female artists with 27.

Smith, meanwhile, is vying the top prize in Best New Artist category, where he's pitted against Bastille, Iggy Azalea, Brandy Clark and HAIM. His "Stay With Me" is up for Record of the Year and Song of the Year while its parent album "In the Lonely Hour" is in contention for Best Pop Vocal Album.

Pharrell Williams is another act with five noms. He's set to battle against fellow artists in categories like Best Music Video and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Happy" and Best Urban Contemporary Album for "G I R L".

Azalea, Usher, Sia Furler, Eric Church, Gordon Goodwin, Miranda Lambert and Jack White are all trailing behind him with four nods apiece. Others who bag multiple Grammy nominations include Taylor Swift (Record of the Year and Song of the Year for "Shake It Off"), Ariana Grande (Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Bang Bang" ft. Jessie J and Nicki Minaj and Best Pop Vocal Album for "My Everything") and Eminem (Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for Rihanna-assisted "The Monster", Best Rap Performance for "Rap God" and Best Rap Album for "MMLP2").
