October 24, 2009 10:10:51After being absent from honoring musicians in 2008, Soul Train Music Awards comes back this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Motown Records. Nominations for the upcoming event have been announced, revealing that Beyonce Knowles, Maxwell and Keri Hilson lead the pack with four nods each.
The three of them compete against each other in Song of the Year and Record of the Year. In addition, both Beyonce and Maxwell are also up for Album of the Year. Beyonce and Maxwell get their fourth kudos in Best Female and Male R&B/Soul Artist respectively. As for Keri, she receives her two other nominations in Best New Artist and Best Collaboration.
Video Premiere: Charlie Wilson's 'There Goes My Baby'
February 07, 2009 01:02:10A music video aimed to promote Charlie Wilson's single titled "There Goes My Baby" has been premiered. It follows Snoop Dogg dating a girl he loves and at the end of the video, he is seen tying the knot with her.
"There Goes My Baby" is a song produced by Babyface for Charlie Wilson's upcoming fourth major studio album "Uncle Charlie". The song has been released since October 2008, while the effort will arrive in U.S. stores on February 17.
2007 WAFCA Awards Recipients Unveiled
December 10, 2007 03:12:28Announcing the result of votes for the best achievements in film-making held among its members, the Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association listed up winners for this year's WAFCA Awards on Sunday, December 9, 2007.
Most honors went to the acclaimed "No Country for Old Men" as the crime drama thriller scooped up four kudos in total, particularly top prize Best Film of 2007. Three others were those of Best Director for brothers Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, Best Ensemble, and Best Supporting Actor for Javier Bardem.
