Recovering Toni Braxton Axes More Shows
April 10, 2008 10:04:24Following her recent hospitalization, Toni Braxton is forced to scrap four more dates of her shows to give her time to recuperate. The multiple Grammy Awards-winning singer will not perform this week at Flamingo, Las Vegas where she serves long-running concert shows, but is expected to be well enough for a Tuesday, April 15 performance.
Deanna Pettit, a spokeswoman for the hotel-casino said on Wednesday, April 9, "We're going to go ahead and cancel her shows tonight and for the rest of the week. We expect she'll return to the stage next Tuesday." Pettit added that the singer is recovering at her home and refunds for the canceled shows are available.
Toni Braxton on the Mend Following Hospitalization

The six-time Grammy winner is said to be on the mend and in "good condition" following the hospitalization thus is expected to be released from the hospital on Tuesday afternoon, April 8.
Braxton has been headlining her "Toni Braxton: Revealed" show at Las Vegas' The Flamingo since August 2006. She recently re-upped her contract to extend the five-night-a-week show through August. However, due to her hospitalization, the songbird won't be able to go on with her "Revealed" show right away, a Flamingo representative has stated.

Contrary to heavy media reports, Toni Braxton has officially confirmed she's not battling breast cancer.
Responded to the false reports, the R&B singer-songwriter issued a statement to "Access Hollywood" Tuesday August 28th, saying "There has been a rumor circulating that I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. After feeling something uncomfortable in my left breast, I went in for a screening. I was very fortunate that they did not find anything and I am in great health. However, I encourage women to take their annual tests and suggested precautions to prevent this disease that continues to affect so many women."

In another dose of bad news for Toni Braxton following her being sued by her fashion designer for bounced check, the soul singer is battling breast cancer.
Braxton, who is currently wowing fans with her "Toni Braxton: Revealed" show at the Flamingo hotel and casino, was diagnosed with the disease two months ago and is secretly undergoing radiation treatment and chemotherapy, the National Enquirer reported.

Trouble has come approaching Toni Braxton all over again. The R&B singer is being slapped by a lawsuit filed by her fashion designer who accused her of bouncing a check.
Anthony Franco filed a lawsuit in the L.A. Superior Court Friday August 3rd against Braxton whom he claimed to have paid him "insufficient funds" for clothes he designed for her "Toni Revealed" show in Las Vegas which was kicked off August last year.

The dispute between Toni Braxton and her ex-personal manager is over. The singer has settled her multimillion-dollar lawsuit against her former personal manager, Barry Hankerson and her former label, Blackground Records.
Under the terms of the settlement, Braxton is free to pursue new projects following her return of a $375,000 advance to Hankerson. Furthermore, the singer is responsible for paying Hankerson royalties from her next album in exchange for being beholden to a contract.

Grammy-winning singer Toni Braxton has refiled her breach-of-contract lawsuit against her former manager, Barry Hankerson, in New York State Court. Braxton's attorney, Peter Haviland, said the suit filed Monday Jan 29th in New York state court would supersede the federal filing against Barry and Blackground Records, which would be withdrawn.
A rep for Hankerson and his label, Blackground Records LLC, explained that when a U.S. District Court judge in Manhattan ordered Braxton to provide more evidence to justify her claim that Barry had cheated her out of at least $10 million by manipulating her into leaving her longtime record label, LaFace/Arista, the singer "voluntarily dismissed her lawsuit".

Toni Braxton is making headlines. The singer has filed a lawsuit against her former personal manager, Barry Hankerson, claiming he owes her at least $10 million for dirty dealing that caused her to abandon a long relationship with Arista Records for the manager's own record label.
In the lawsuit, filed Friday January 12th in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, Braxton accuses Hankerson of putting his financial interests ahead of Braxton's and inducing the singer to leave a lucrative deal with Arista through fraud, deception and double-dealing.
