Directed by Chris Hicky, the video was premiered on CMT on October 2. It sees fellow country musician Jamey Johnson making a cameo as a preacher.
2009 CMA Awards Nominations Outed, Brad Paisley Gets Most Nods
September 10, 2009 09:09:36Nomination recipients for this year's CMA Awards have been revealed at ABC's "Good Morning America" and CMT's studio in Nashville on September 9. Coming to GMA announcing the nominees were Darius Rucker and Lee Ann Womack. Meanwhile, the press conference in Nashville was hosted by Cody Alan and Alecia Davis with Randy Houser as its announcer.
Leading the nominations list was Brad Paisley who took home six kudos. He will compete in such categories as Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Music Video. Following Brad's domination were Keith Urban, Jamey Johnson, George Strait, Taylor Swift and Zac Brown Band with four nods each. Other country musicians who grabbed multiple nods include Kenny Chesney and Randy.
Miranda Lambert's 'Dead Flowers' Music Video Arrives
July 17, 2009 01:07:38Miranda Lambert has premiered a music video in companion to her new single "Dead Flowers". The video is directed by Randee St. Nicholas and "is basically written around every single lyric of the song -- from dead flowers to Christmas lights to the wind."
"I love it when video directors take the lyrics of your song and really portray every single little detail because, as a writer, that's my baby, and I want it to be a real depiction," Miranda told CMT about the video. "Randee St. Nicholas is a great director. I knew that she could draw that emotion back out of me because I obviously had that emotion at one time."
2009 CMT Awards Nominees Revealed, Sugarland Grab the Most Nods
May 20, 2009 09:05:53Sugarland led the pack of 2009 Country Music Television (CMT) Awards nominations after a 30-minute special announcement of the nominees was held on May 19 at 10 A.M. ET/PT. This musical duo consisting of Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles got five gongs in total.
Sugarland were listed among the contenders of Video of the Year, Collaborative Video of the Year, CMT Performance of the Year and Duo Video of the Year. In the latest category, they received two nods for "All I Want to Do" and "Already Gone" music videos, facing off other videos from Brooks & Dunn for single "Put a Girl in It" and from Montgomery Gentry for track "Roll With Me".

Announced by Julianne Hough, Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Rimes and Jessica Simpson, it was revealed that Brad Paisley and Heidi Newfield both led the pack with six and four counts respectively.
Brad and Heidi were up against each other in Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year. For the three categories, they were joined by such contenders as Miranda Lambert, Trace Adkins, Jamey Johnson and Carrie Underwood among others.

Rascal Flatts, George Strait, and Sugarland are some of the artists who receive the prestigious awards at the November-12 ceremony.
Starting with the announcement of the winner from "Song of the Year", Sugarland's "Stay" wins over Alan Jackson's "Good Time", Brad Paisley's "Letter to Me", Strait's "I Saw God Today", and Trace Adkins' "You're Gonna Miss This". The award from this category goes to songwriter and primary publisher, meaning that Byron Gallimore, Kristian Bush, and Jennifer Nettles as the producers of "Stay" share the prize to be brought home.

March 05, 2008 09:03:41Kenny Chesney rules way above his peers in dominating the Academy of Country Music Awards nominations. The country crooner who released his eleventh studio album "Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates" last year, receives as many as 11 nods while others go below seven nods.
Among the categories Chesney is nominated in are Top Male Vocalist and kudos for his album, single, video and song. Chesney, who is a reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year is again running for the same category this year and should he win the title again, he will be in tie with Garth Brooks as the prime academy winner in the category.

Preceded by CMT Music Awards last month, this year's Academy of Country Music Awards boast similar faces in the guest list. The May 15 night event has presented its performers and called the winners one by one.
Two times winner Kenny Chesney secured its third winning for the category Entertainer of the Year, beating this year's frontrunner George Strait. With the winning, he becomes one out of three artists to take the award three times in a row. The beaten Strait meanwhile, took other trophies in two categories, Single of the Year and Song of the Year both for "Give It Away".

The recent poll, released Friday June 30th, has Faith Hill on the very top position with the article saying "To thousands of fans, Faith embodies the ideal woman who really `has it all', classic beauty, a superstar career, a great marriage to Tim McGraw and three lovely daughters. No other country star projects a sexier, more stunning image."
