2010 AMAs Noms: Eminem, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry Dominating the List

Those three artists battle against each other to win the top honor, Artist of the Year, along with two other competitors Ke$ha and Lady GaGa.

Eminem scores the most nods when 2010 American Music Awards nominations were announced on Tuesday, October 12. Along with Lady Antebellum, the rapper receives a total of five nods. The Slim Shady is up for Favorite Album in pop/rock and rap/hip-hop music fields, and Antebellum are up for Favorite Album in country music.

Justin Bieber follows the two acts' domination with four nominations. The 16-year-old Canadian pop singer is listed as one of the contenders for Favorite Male Artist in pop/rock along with his mentor Usher and Eminem. Additionally, he also gets a bid to win T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist alongside the likes of B.o.B, Ke$ha, Travis McCoy and Mike Posner.

The other artists who receive multiple nods include Ke$ha, Usher, B.o.B and Katy Perry with three each. Perry is up for the top honor, Artist of the Year, competing against Eminem, Bieber, Ke$ha and Lady GaGa who gets double nominations this year. The "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker once again faces off GaGa and Ke$ha in Favorite Female Artist for pop/rock.

In favorite album for soundtrack, the theme songs compilation for "Iron Man 2" by AC/DC appears on the list with "Glee: The Music - Volume 3 Showstoppers" which is filled by song remixes and "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" which is led by Muse's "Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)".

The nominees are selected from BigChampagne's Ultimate Chart which ranks the most popular artists and songs based on a weighted combination of music sales, radio and TV broadcast, Internet streaming and video viewing and "additional online metrics," including social-media activity.

Winners will be determined via voting which already began at amavote.com. Those taking home awards are going to be announced in a live telecast at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. on Sunday, November 21, at 8 P.M. ET on ABC with Usher, Pink and Bon Jovi tapped as preliminary performers.
