'Iron Man 2' Characters Featured in New Stills
December 02, 2009 11:12:39Paramount Pictures has just released several new pictures from Robert Downey Jr.-starring film "Iron Man 2". After releasing a poster which gives the first look at War Machine, the studio has shared four stills which feature some previously-exposed characters, like Tony Stark, Black Widow, and Ivan Vanko.
In one image, master engineer Stark is seen working with an electronic stuff. In another picture, he is exposed with his robotic buddy. Meanwhile, one particular photo shows Black Widow, the alter ego of Natasha Romanoff, in her tight costume. The last still additionally features Vanko standing in front of a wall which is full of clippings.

New 'Iron Man 2' Poster Reveals War Machine
December 01, 2009 09:12:14Paramount Pictures has released a promotional poster for upcoming action film "Iron Man 2". Making its way out via Yahoo! Movies, the image gives the first official look at War Machine, Tony Stark's best friend who wears silver armor. Additionally, the picture also exposes Iron Man in his slightly upgraded armor and features simple tagline "2" instead of the film's full title.
In the "Iron Man" sequel, War Machine and his alter ego Col James 'Rhodey' Rhodes will be portrayed by Don Cheadle after Terrence Howard, who took the role in the first film, quit the project. "I read something in the trades implicating that it was about money or something, but apparently the contracts that we write and sign aren't worth the paper that they're printed on, sometimes," Howard said about his exit. "Promises aren't kept, and good faith negotiations aren't always held up."

First Trailer for 'Iron Man 2' May Arrive in December

Recently, director Jon Favreau hinted that the first trailer for the movie will be released in December, when another Robert Downey Jr.-starred film, "Sherlock Holmes", hits U.S. theaters. "w/Sherlock Holmes, perhaps??" he retweeted on Thursday, November 19 when a fan asked whether or not the trailer will come soon.

Dropping by MTV recently, Sam Rockwell who will be seen as Justin Hammer in the "Iron Man" sequel gave an interesting scoop on the relationship between his Tony Stark's rival character and Don Cheadle's Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes.

The nearly eight minutes video goes to inspect the workshop of Tony Stark aka Iron Man with director Jon Favreau being on hand to explain the upgrades the filming team has done to the room and what new invention Stark is working on.
Aside from providing the tour around the workshop, the video also presents the filmmaker talking about this "Iron Man" sequel, specifically on why making it is easier than bringing the first one to the big screen, and on adding Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johansson. It also offers commentaries from star Robert Downey Jr. on the difficulty of making "Iron Man 2" for him among other things.

Scarlett Johansson Auctions Off 'Iron Man 2' Premiere Tickets

As an ambassador for international charity Oxfam America, the actress who portrays female fatale Black Widow in the sequel of 2008's "Iron Man" is auctioning off two movie premiere tickets, as well as a meet-and-greet session with her.
The auction will be kicked off Thursday, September 17 at 10 P.M. ET and run through September 24. All proceeds will benefit Oxfam America, an organization dedicated to long-term solutions for poverty, hunger and injustice around the world. 'Iron Man 2' Scheduled for Comic Con 2009's Day 3

Nick Fury Won't Perform Action in 'Iron Man 2'

November 27, 2008 02:11:17With Marvel planning on putting together some of its superheroes in one movie, "The Avengers", many wonder whether the writers for the individual superhero films, including "Iron Man 2", "The First Avenger: Captain America" and "Thor", have started a discussion to make all the story connected. "Iron Man 2" screenwriter Justin Theroux has revealed to MTV News that they have yet to open any talks regarding the matter.
"You know, there's NO dialogue right now - in a great way," the "Tropic Thunder" co-scripter shared, adding, "I think [Marvel Studios President] Kevin Feige just wants to make sure we can make the best movie that we can make." He further added that the studio have yet to force him to make the stories connected. He insisted, "No, not yet. But that being said, Kevin is in all the meetings for all the movies, and is the sort of connective tissue - the neurons if you will - running between the meetings. Addressing on how early in stage the sequel is in, Favreau explained that the filmmakers are still working on the potential villain.
"We're playing with who the villain should be and what we should incorporate from the comic book," he noted. "And how it will lead into The Avengers." He then added that he is currently working with Justin Theroux, the co-writer of "Tropic Thunder" who is tackling the script's first draft, and a storyboard artist.
