"Designing clothes for Hard Rock Hotels was an exciting and challenging proposition that, given my background and own line, I was eager to accept," will.i.am said on the project. "My goal was to create a look that exudes upscale rock 'n roll, leveraging the essence of the brand while contemporizing the staff's wardrobe to provide a more stylistic and fashion-forward appearance."

Numbers of Hollywood celebrities, including the likes of Cameron Diaz and Pharrell Williams, are teaming up to combat climate crisis. Together with those stars, former vice president Al Gore, announced Thursday Feb 15th at the California Science Center in Los Angeles the launching of an international campaign to promote global warming awareness.
The so-called "Save Our Selves, The Campaign for a Climate in Crisis", founded by Live 8 Executive Producer Kevin Wall, is focused on Live Earth, a 24-hour concert to take place on seven continents on July 7 later this year. Inspired by their 2004 trip to South Africa, Grammy Award-winning artist Black Eyed Peas has unveiled their next step to headline a benefit concert in Johannesburg aiming to raise awareness for their charity foundation in the region. The first major event for their Peapod Foundation, the show will be held on May 28 at Johannesburg Stadium in which the group will perform with a number of South African artists and dancers.
"Two years ago we played to commemorate 10 Years of Freedom in South Africa and I made a promise that we would return to give a free show for the people who may never have the chance to get down and celebrate with the Black Eyed Peas, in the true spirit of the Peapod," so said will.i.am, one of the group's members, in a statement issued on Monday, April 24. Mariah Carey was one among many who got nominated at the event. Unfortunately, the pop diva only brought home one award, Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist, from the total four nominations she got, including Favorite Female Pop/Rock which went to Gwen Stefani, Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B which went to Green Day's "American Idiot" and Destiny's Child "Destiny Fulfilled."
Apart, multiple honors went to country star Tim McGraw, who won Country Male Artist prize and Country Album for his "Live Like You Were Dying." Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, 50 Cent, Eminem, and R&B singer R. Kelly also scored great, but none of them were attending the Awards.

Marley's Never-Before-Released Singles Collection
October 18, 2005 11:10:00Years after his death, fans of reggae legend Bob Marley still have something that reminds them of him. The late singer apparently left a never-before-released song, believed to have been recorded in a Miami bedroom in 1979, which will be available on the upcoming compilation "Africa Unite: The Singles Collection."
The set, due November 8 via Island/Tuff Gong/UME, includes "Slogans," the master tape of which was discovered by Marley's sons Ziggy and Stephen in 2003. Also it will feature early recordings as well as Marley's biggest hits, which is rounded out by a new remix of the title track from the Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am plus Ashley Beedle's mash-up of "Get Up, Stand Up" and Damian Marley's "Welcome to Jamrock."

The new album, consisting of 15 tracks, was recorded in two-and three-month spurts throughout 2004 while the group was touring, promoting Rock the Vote and raising money for the tsunami relief effort. As the album has successfully gained such achievement on the chart, the quartet may feel proud, yet has to work even harder to maintain their victory.
