A list mentioning possible contenders for some categories of this year's MTV Video Music Awards has just been found. Britney Spears, Ke$ha and Katy Perry appear in three categories, while the likes of Lady GaGa, Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Black Eyed Peas are listed in two.

The rumored nominations are obtained from a BreatheHeavy member who claims as the one working at MTV. The source on the publication claims further that "the official site [MTV] with all the nominees and information to be released at the weekend."

If BreatheHeavy can be trusted, Spears will battle against GaGa, Ke$ha, Perry and Selena Gomez & The Scene in Best Female Video. The "Circus" singer will once again face off Perry in Best Pop Video along with Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and Pink. Also, she is up for Best Video (That Should Have Won a Moonman).

Furthermore, the top honor Video of the Year is rumored to have Perry and Ke$ha competing against GaGa, Black Eyed Peas and Jay-Z. In Best New Artist category, meanwhile, Ke$ha reportedly will go head-to-head with Justin Bieber, Drake, Melanie Fiona and Wale.

2010 MTV Video Music Awards will be aired live on September 12 from the Gibson Amphitheatre, in Los Angeles, California.
