It's a bad day if you have three names and you're a U.S. TV star - Jennifer Love Hewitt and Julia Louis-Dreyfus' long-running shows have been canceled. Hewitt's spooky drama "Ghost Whisperer" and Louis-Dreyfus' comedy "The New Adventures of Old Christine" have been axed as part of a sweep by TV bosses at CBS.
Comedy "Gary Unmarried", cop drama "Cold Case", "Miami Medical", "Accidentally on Purpose", and "Numb3rs" have also been canceled by the network executives.
Jennifer Love Hewitt has played opposite David Conrad, Camryn Manheim, Jay Mohr, Jamie Kennedy, Tyler Patrick Jones, Aisha Tyler and Christoph Sanders in "Ghost Whisperer". Meanwhile, Julia Louis-Dreyfus has starred alongside Clark Gregg, Hamish Linklater, Trevor Gagnon, Emily Rutherfurd, Tricia O'Kelley, Alex Kapp Horner and Wanda Sykes in "New Adventures of Old Christine".

I would like to say that I am surprised that you cancelled a great, laugh a minute, uplifting show like "adventurs", but I am not. You cancel so many good shows and keep all the crap, ignorant reality shows that my husband and I very rarely watch local channels. Everyone on that show added to the humor, we are so glad even to watch the re-runs...you guys are single handly ruing TV..our "group" even says whenever a new show starts "don't get to like it, it is well written, humerous and different, so it will be cancelled..just like the Bonnie Hunt show only to be replaced by Nick Barcus, come on, there is a whole channel dedicated to "home makeovers" why cancell Bonnie..stupid stupid stupid..thank God for HBO specials, TNT,FX.etc..keep up the good work..Kardasians, bachlor, survior...ignorant...

I can see dropping Cold Case, Miami Medical and Numb3rs, there are way too many CSI, FBI, and hospital shows. But Gary Unmarried, Accidentally On Perpose, and New Adventures of Old Christine, were awesome, and funny. And as of Ghost Whisperer, that is one of my favourite shows. It's all BS!!! LMAO

Oh my God, I can't beleive they've cancelled the New Adventures of Old Christine and yet they leave all the junk reality shows that have absolutely no value or creativity to offer. This is unbearable news...please TV execs give NAOOC at least one more season. There is a huge fan base who roar themselves silly watching these characters each week. A brilliant cast...and I pee my pants every time I watch it! That's gotta count for something.

How could they cancel one of the funniest shows on tv? The New Adventures of Old Christine was fresh and just so funny. All of the actors really nailed their characters. I'm still in shock, they will be missed. PLEASE ABC pick up this show!!!! Why not cancel the reality crap and the sleazy shows that everyone seems to like!? NOT.
